Shri Nityananda Pranama Mantras

nityanandam aham naumi, sarvananda-karam param;
hari-nama-pradam devam, avadhuta-siromanim.

I offer my prostrated obeisances to the Supreme Servitor Lord Nityananda Prabhu, who is the awarder of the topmost joy and happiness to all living entities and to all our senses, the bestower of the Holy Name of Lord Gaura-Hari, and the crest jewel of all paramahamsa mendicants.

nityanandam aham vande, karne lambita-mauktikam
chaitanyagraja-rupena, pavitri-krta-bhutalam

I offer my prostrated obeisances to the Supreme Servitor Lord Nityananda Prabhu, on whose left lotus ear a pearl ornament is swinging. Accepting the role of the elder brother of the Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Lord Nityananda completely purified the entire earth by the the pollen of His lotus feet.

Nityananda Prabhu is the most merciful incarnation of the Supreme Absolute Truth and is the embodiment of unalloyed devotional service. He is the bestower of all the rasas, and the deliverer of the fallen souls. Without His mercy, one cannot attain Radha-Krishna.

"heno nitāi bine bhāi, rādhā-krsna pāite nāi
drdha kori' dharo nitāir pāy"

"Unless one takes shelter under the shade of the lotus feet of Lord Nityananda, it will be very difficult for him to approach Radha-Krsna. If one actually wants to enter into the dancing party of Radha-Krsna, he must firmly catch hold of the lotus feet of Lord Nityananda."

And

"nitāiyer korunā habe, braje rādhā-krsna pābe
dharo nitāi-carana du'khāni"

If you actually want to approach the association of Radha-Krsna, you must first achieve the mercy of Lord Nityananda. When He is merciful toward you, then you will be able to approach Radha-Krsna. Therefore you should firmly grasp the lotus feet of Lord Nityananda.

If You want to get the causeless mercy of Nityananda Prabhu on this most auspicious day of Nityananda-Trayodashi, then:

1. Chant Nityananda-Gauranga Naam as much as you can. (64-64)

Translation.

All glory, all glory to Lord Nityananda Balarama, by whose mercy I have attained shelter in the transcendental abode of Vrindavana. By His mercy, I have attained the shelter of the great Shri Raghunatha dasa Gosvami, and by His mercy I have found the refuge of Shri Svarupa Damodara. By the mercy of Sanatana Gosvami I have learned the final conclusions of devotional service, and by the grace of Shri Rupa Gosvami I have tasted the highest nectar of devotional service. All glory, all glory to the lotus feet of Lord Nityananda, by whose mercy I have attained Shri Radha-Govinda. (Cc. Adi. 5.200-204)

As the days pass in my own Naam Bhajan, the Holy Sanskrit Syllables of the Nityananda and Gauranga Mantrarajas and the Hare Krishna Mahamantra are revealing to me everything I desire to see in the eternally pastimes (nitya-lila) of Shri Shri Nityananda Gauranga and Shri Shri Radha Damodara.

My Naam meditation on the noon pastimes of Lord Gaura and Shri Shri Radha Krishna is becoming more deeper, unique and enchanting due to the visualization of the Sanskrit syllables of the Mantrarajas.

The benevolent Lords Nitaai Gaura amaze me by the sound of Their causelessly merciful Names and now They are granting me the uniquely attractive mercy of the form of the Sanskrit syllables of Their Names. May These powerful syllables always invoke in me these divinely deep visions of Their pastimes! I feel like a fish out of water when I lose sight of these divine syllables, the holy sound of Their Names and the connection with the nitya-lila.

Bhajan While Preaching

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Jaya Jagannatha! Jaya Shri Guru Parampara! I was discussing with Shripada Mahanidhi Maharaj about the subject of harmonizing Naam Smarana and Preaching. I humbly told him my realization. As my meditation on Naam Shravan (hearing), Naam Akshara (syllables) and Naam Lila (pastimes) progressed, I have felt the constant sight of the form of my Ishtadeva (worshipable Lord) and some of the pastimes even when my eyes are open while I am walking, sitting and talking or preaching to other souls.

This means that while preaching or talking Nitaai Katha to others which is Svarupa Siddha Bhakti or even while performing any forms of Aropa Siddha Bhakti for that matter like traveling to a satsanga program etc., I am able to keep my mind absorbed on the form of my Lord which is anyway the main ingredient of exclusive Naam Smarana or remembrance. Thus preaching becomes very pleasurable Bhajan for me. Also this remembrance lends spiritual power to the words emanating from the mouth and they touch the very soul of the listeners. Of course I am not satisfied with this since the Lord is infinite and thus want to intensify this remembrance more.

A Naam sadhak should be able to attain this by sincere practice and perseverance of the three processes explained in the first paragraph of this article. This is not hallucination but the factual vision attained by the spiritual eyes of the soul by the causeless mercy of Shrila Gurudeva and Lord Nityananda.

An imitation of this stage is possible but when a disciple has proper guidance and mercy from the rasa parayana Guru, Sadhu and Scriptures, one will know within oneself whether one is imitating this stage or experiencing it for real. On the platform of madhyama adikhari, one will always speak from the pure conclusions of the scriptures and never deviate grim them because one can clearly detect the presence of rasabhasa (improper mixing of mellows) or apasiddhanta (improper understanding or interpretation of the vani of the scriptures and acharyas).

There is no difference between Lord Shri Krishna and Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu. Unfortunately we may see that, due to ignorance, uninformed persons very often go into two opposite directions - some resolved to give up worship of Lord Krishna and worship only Gauranga Mahaprabhu, others worship only Lord Shri Krishna and do not worship Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu.

In both cases, such worship is not complete, because there is no difference between Lord Gauranga and Lord Shri Krishna, and by neglecting and abandoning worship of either Krishna or Gauranga, a person is making such difference. There is no difference between Names, Pastimes, nor Abodes of Lord Shri Krishna and Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu. They are identical.

Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura said that In Krishna lila - the Supreme Personality, Krishna Shyamasundara is exhibited, while in Gaura-lila, the actual process of worship Krishna, bhakti is exhibited. That is the difference. There is no Gaura-seva without Krishna-seva, and one can never, ever relish Krishna without taking shelter in Lord Gauranga. The more one is attached to Lord Gauranga, the more one will findhimself in Vrindavana. The more one studies Krishna-lila, the more one will findhimself in Gauranga-lila, where Krishna-katha is the life and soul of devotees.

So, the true devotee understands that Lord Shri Krishna and Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu are one and the same Person. There is no difference in any aspect. Those who are trying to say that the Names of Gaura and the Names of Krishna are different are in gross ignorance. There is no difference among those Names. Gaura Naam and Hari Naam are the same in the same way as Lord Gauranga is not different from Shri Shri Radha and Krishna.

The proper process of approaching to the Supreme Personality of Godhead is given by previous Acharyas. We should first approach to a spiritual master, who is a representative of Lord Nityananda, then we should take full shelter in his teachings, worship Lord Nityananda Prabhu, then understand and worship other members of the Pancha-tattva and take full shelter in worshiping Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu. In that way a sadhaka is advancing naturally and can properly understand and relish the Pastimes of Shri Shri Radha and Krishna. On that stage, a devotee understands that Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu is identical with Shri Shri Radha and Krishna in Vrindavana and that His Name Gauranga is the same as the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. Chanting Gaura and pure Harinama is giving the same gift - pure love for Shrimati Radharani and Lord Shri Krishna. Pure devotees may chant either Gaura or Krishna Naam according to taste and mood of worship, but they are completely aware that on the absolute level both are nondiferent from Radha and Krishna.

Attaining the Association of Shri Shri Radha and Krishna

In this fallen age of Kali, people may attain all perfection simply by chanting the Holy Name Gauranga. That is the greatest secret. Simply by chanting "Gauranga, Gauranga" without even any theoretical knowledge, all perfection is guaranteed. That is top most manifestation of God's mercy. It is confirmed in Shri Chaitanya Shataka verse 78:

kalau shri-gaura-kripaya
nama matraika jalpaka
krishna-sannidhya-sampraptah
prema-bhakti-parayanah

"But, in Kali-yuga, people attain the association of Krishna simply by the merciful glance of Shri Gaurasundara and by chanting His Holy Names."

Only by the mercy of Lord Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, a person may attain the association of Lord Shri Krishna and Shrimati Radharani in Vrindavana. Shri Gaura-kripaya means "the mercy of Lord Shri Krishna Chaitanya". That mercy, that krpa is all in all. Gaura-krpa means mercy of Gaura Naam, Gaura Dham, Gaura Katha, Gaura Bhakta Vrinda. That is Gaura krpa, mercy of Gaura. It comes in all those forms. Gaura prasada. That is the only way.

How to get that mercy? Nama matraika jalpaka! Nama means the Name. By the Name of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu. By chanting His Name you will get everything. Matra eka... simply once. If you chant simply once this transcendental Name - Gauranga, you will attain Krishna, Shyamasundara. That is the fact. If you take this Name, Gaura Naam, what will be the effect? What will be your destination? Krishna-sannidhya means personal association with Shri Krishna. By chanting this Name you are associating personally with Lord Shri Krishna and you will also attain His Association when you leave this body. That is the power of Gaura Naam. It is a spiritual high speed space ship that is leading you to Goloka Vrindavana, the highest spiritual planet.

The word sampratah is very important. It means "fully obtained". By chanting Gaura Naam - Lord Krishna Shyamasundara becomes fully available. There is no greater way or process of attaining pure service to Shri Shri Radha Krishna but chanting Gaura Naam. It is direct and highest service to the Divine Couple.

In this verse the word "nama' indicated both Names of Lord Shri Krishna and Lord Gaurasundara. There is no difference between those Names, but for conditioned souls, greater benefit is attained by chanting the Holy Names of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu, specifically the Name Gauranga, because it is the combined form of Shri Shri Radha and Krishna. That is confirmed by Shrila Bhaktisidhantha Sarasvati Thakura in his Anubhasya Purport in the following way:

krishna-nama o gaura-nama,-ubhayei namira sahita abhinna. krsnke gaura apeksa laghu va sankirna baliya janile, uhake avidyara karya baliya janite haibe. prakrtapakse jivera prayojana-vicare shri gaura-nityanandera nama grahanera upayogita adhiktara. shri gaura-nityananda udara evam audaryera abhyantare madhura.

"The name of Krishna and Gauranga-both are non-different than the named Lord. Those who think that Krishna is any way inferior or limited than Gauranga are in gross ignorance but in practical considerations with respect to the benefit awarded to the conditioned souls, the chanting of Nityananda and Gauranga's Name is more usefull and helpfull for every living entity."

Verse 27:

karmi varnashrama me raha kara sadhu sanga paya,
nitai gaura namashraya shuddha bhakti paya.

"The common materialistic people do not have to radically change their external situation in life. They have to just seek out the association of bonafide devotees of Their Lordships Nityananda Gauranga and in such pure association they should take full shelter of the Holy Names of Nityananda, Gauranga and Hare Krishna and thus attain pure unalloyed devotional service to Lord Gauranga-Krishna."

The goal of different varnas and ashramas is to increase spiritual understanding of the population that gradually leads to devotional service. Unfortunately, this process of following different rules and regulations within various social divisions is not valid anymore due to high degradation. It is said in vedic literature - kalau shudra sambhavah - in this age of Kali, everyone is born as a shudra. That is the most unfortunate situation.

In ancient times, brahmanasm or the intelligent holy class of society guided the populationthrough their life and everybody was happy. That is not a myth. It isthe characteristic of a God-like society. At times of great Kings like Maharaja Prithu, each and every person was happy and the earth had everything that was needed for every person.

Today, we may see that most fallen rascals are leading modern society toward degradation and suffering and common persons are forced to suffer in so many ways. But, despite of such poor and stressful position a person does not need to radically change its position of life in order to achieve perfection. There is no need to abandon the modern way of life and go into the jungle or a forest. Common persons are not able to follow such vows even within the mind, what to say about living in great austerity and extreme sadhana. So, that is not practical and it is actually an obstacle in this age. Instead of making a show of false renunciation, the sincere seeker should seek out for pure devotees and listen from him. That is real spiritual life. All perfection comes from listening and serving pure devotees. That is the sum and substance of all spiritual practice.

Then, by listening and serving pure devotees, the fortunate person will naturally chant the Holy Names Nityananda, Gauranga and Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare and rapidly progress in spiritual life. In such way, by sincerely serving Vaishnavas and the Holy Name, a person surely attains pure devotional service regardless of material position, age, social status etc.

The words suddha bhakti in this verse are very significant. By accepting Nitaai and Gaura Naama and taking shelter in chanting, a sadhaka is attaining pure devotional service. Namasraya means taking shelter of the Holy Names. It is two-fold, taking shelter in the person who is the giver of Naam - guruashraya, and taking shelter in the process of chanting the Holy Names - Naamashraya.

The Really Intelligent Person in this World

An intelligent person in this world must search for ultimate answers and for a cause of existence. He or she must find answers like -"Why am I suffering? What is the goal of life? What is life, what is death? Who am I? Who is God? What is my relation with Him etc."

Inquiring about such topics is the beginning of spiritual journey. If a person has enough pious and spiritual merits he or she will understand that we are spiritual souls entrapped within these material bodies. We are not male, female, man, child, animal or demigod, insect or bird. Those are all various bodily forms, but within, the pure spiritual soul is imprisoned. We are that spiritual spark, jiva, the soul that does not belong to this material world.

We ca not be happy within this realm. It is simply not possible. Like a fish, that is an aquatic animal. If you take the fish out of water, it will suffer, because it is out of natural enforcement. In the same way we are suffering in this material realm because this is not our original enforcement. Just like a criminal is put in jail for some time, we are imprisoned within the jail of this material world.

But, because we are falsely identifying ourselves with the gross body and everything relating with it - we are forced to suffer. False identification is the cause of suffering. There are unlimited false identifications - "I am male, I am female, I am a successful businessman, I am a poor beggar, I am this I am that. " This material world offers unlimited identifications. In one life jiva takes the role of a king in another it must play the role of a slave. That is the nature of this realm.

But we want eternal happiness. Why would I invest my time and energy in something that will be lost? Modern men and women invest so much energy in economic development, sense gratification, political influence. But is the use of all such endeavors when, at the time of death all so called achievements will be erased?

We must search and find all answers. That is the goal of human life. Search for answers, search for those who can give you answers. That is our goal. Find association of those rare persons that may give you answers.

Mainly, there are two main activities in that regard. If you are sincere, take shelter in Bhagavatam, revealed scriptures. Shrimad Bhagavatam is the answer to all questions, Shri Chaitanya Bhagavata is Shrimad Bhagavatam of the modern Age. If you study those books you will understand the truth. You will understand the nature of Nitaai and Gaura Naam, understand spiritual progression that leads to worldwide distribution of the Holy Names Nityananda and Gauranga.

In those books you will get all answers to all your questions because that is perfect literature. Every word, every letter is perfect. Every question every answer. With open heart drink the nectar of Shrimad Bhagavatam and Shri Chaitanya Bhagavata and for sure you will become dear to God and enter His kingdom.

Then, when you grasp the basic messages of Bhagavatam, you must search for a person that is living according to such principles. You must find such living Bhagavatam. You must search for a pure devotee, a representative of God. If you are sincere you will find such person and find all answers in his words. How to recognize such an exalted devotee. Basically it is very simple. Try to see what is his taste for chanting Holy Names. In a degree that a devotee is absorbed or experienced in chanting the Naam in such degree he or she is spiritually advanced. Then listen to his words. Body, age, or tone of voice don't matter at all. To realize your Guru you must listen. Only listen. Nothing more. Shravana. Listening. This is the process of listening. We are listening to the words of our Acharyas, our spiritual master and we are listening to the Holy Names Nityananda Gauranga and Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. That is a very simple process. Still it is most potent.

So, the real intelligent person within this material world is the one who has found all answers to his questions. Such person is very rare. You came to this portal, You just have heard about Nityananda and Gauranga and the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra, and You start to get answers to Your questions. Now take this advantage and make this life perfect by chanting Nityananda Gauranga and Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

Now let's discuss the necessity of associating with devotees and hearing about Krishna from them. Just as we go to schools and colleges in order to gain knowledge, in the same way spiritual aspirants must go to temples and hear from senior devotees. We cannot understand a material book properly with our own effort, then not to speak of scriptures which contain such a higher science. Therefore, we must approach the vaishnavas and hear from them in a submissive mood.

It is mentioned in Shrimad-Bhagavatam:

   tato duhsangam utsrjya

   satsu sajjeta buddhiman

   santa evasya chindanti

   mano-vyasangam uktibhih

   "An intelligent person should, therefore, reject all bad association and instead take up the association of saintly devotees, whose words cut off the excessive attachment of one's mind." (Srimad-Bhagavatam 11.26.26)

tavad ragadayah stenas

tavat kara-griham griham

tavan moho 'nghri-nigado

yavat krishna na te janah

Shri Brahma says, "The attachment and hatred that arise from spontaneous absorption in the objects of sense gratification are robbing us of our true nature. Our homes have become nothing but prison houses and we are constantly bound by the foot-shackles of material affection (moha). What a miserable condition we are in. O Shri Krishna, only when possessiveness (mamata) towards You awakens in my heart by associating with Your pure devotees, shall I be counted among Your associates. From that day, the various propensities of my mind, such as attachment, shall no longer act like thieves but like beloved friends, by allowing me to engage in pure devotional service to You. Only then will my home become transcendental and bestow eternal bliss; only from that day will my power of affection become favourable for devotional service and actually advance the cause of my soul."(10.14.36)

Lord Brahma offered further prayers:

tad astu me natha sa bhuri-bhago

bhave 'tra vanyatra tu va tirashcam

yenaham eko 'pi bhavaj-jananam

bhutva nisheve tava pada-pallavam

"O Shri Krishna," He entreated, "My earnest prayer is that in this life as Brahma, or in any other species of life, even as an animal or a bird, I may attain the fortune of being counted as one of Your devotees and engage in devotional service to Your lotus feet." One achieves this exalted position only by associating with a pure devotee of Shri Krishna." (Shrimad-Bhagavatam 10.14.30)

So if you want to cross this ocean of nescience, then you must take shelter of pure devotees, serve them, enquire from them, and the most important hear hari-katha from their Lotus Lips. Therefore, the final conclusion is that if you want to save your soul from an eternal loss, i.e. drowning again in the bith-death cycle of the 8.4 million species, then you must immediately leave bad association and associate with pure devotees. You might have heard this many times that "A person's nature is shaped by the company he keeps. In other words, a person develops a nature similar to that of whoever he associates with." This is a very important aspect of self-purification. You can change your nature if you change your association. The materialistic friends are the most dangerous one because they spoil you without letting you know. They are like sweet poison. Initially, you find that you are really happy with them but ultimately they lead you to hell. If your best-friend is a lusty materialistic person then he is your biggest enemy. He will transfer all his bad qualities unto you, and finally you will also become a lusty person like him.

Regarding bad association, Shrimad-Bhagavatam (3.31.33–34) affirms:

"Worldly association destroys all one's virtues like truthfulness, cleanliness, mercy, gravity, intelligence, shyness, prosperity, reputation, forgiveness, control of the mind, control of the senses, good fortune and opulence. One should utterly reject the company of a person who is not a sadhu, considering such association to be extremely miserable, for such a wicked and restless fool is but a dancing dog in the hands of a woman and is thereby simply bent on annihilating himself."

If you still want to associate with bad people, then it means that you are Fool No.1. You will waste this precious human life in abominable acts and after death you will go to Hell.

Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakur writes,

"There are two types of asat-sanga—association and attachment. Association is of two types—with non-devotees and with women. Similarly, attachment is also of two types—attachment for prejudices and attachment for assets. Those mahatmas who wish to attain perfection in devotional service should carefully give up sanga in the form of association and attachment. Otherwise this sanga will gradually and surely ruin everything.

As stated in the Bhagavad-Gita (2.62-63):

sangat sanjayate kamah

kamat krodho 'bhijayate

krodhad bhavati sammohah

sammohat smriti-vibhramah

smriti-bhramshad buddhi-nasho

buddhi-nashat pranashyati

"From attachment lust develops, and from lust anger arises. From anger, complete delusion arises, and from delusion bewilderment of memory. When memory is bewildered, intelligence is lost, and when intelligence is lost one falls down again into the material pool."

A practitioner should always remember this instruction of the Lord. If a practitioner engages in prohibited association, then gradually his attachment increases. The more this attachment increases, the more his firm faith in the supreme goal diminishes.

There are 3 types of non-devotees:

Atheists

Non-devotees of Krishna (Those who worship demigods)

Lusty people who associate with women

Note: There are 3 types of atheists:

1. Some say that God does not exist at all.

2. Some say that, even if He exists, they don't care.

3. And the most dangerous atheists, say that they are God themselves.

Thus, We must strictly leave the association of the above mentioned non-devotees.

Perfection of Gaura Lila and Gaura Naam

When the Lord advented in this material world, all eternal associates also advented with Him. A king never goes alone, his servants are always traveling with him. In a similar way, the eternal Associates also advented with Lord Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Shrila Narottama dasa Thakura confirms that in the following way:

gaurangero sangi gane nitya sidha kori mane
.
"The Associtates of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu are all eternally perfect souls or nitya sidha souls "

In a similar way, each and every aspect of Gaura lila is perfect and complete. Each and every aspect of Krishna lila advented and manifested within Gaura lila. Shrimad Bhagavatam, rasam alayam literature manifested as most glorious Shri Chaitanya Bhagavata. In that way, simply by reading Shri Chaitanya Bhagavata a sadhaka is getting full benefits of detailed study of Shrimad Bhagavatam.

Each and every part of Gaura lila is corespondent to the part of Krishna lila. That is not hard to understand. Shi Shri Radha and Krishna advented as Gauranga Mahaprabhu, Lord Nityananda advented as Lord Nityananda Prabhu, Vrindavana became Navadvipa Dhama, Bhagavatam advented as Shri Chaitanya Bhagavata, Associates from Krishna lila advented as devotees in Gaura lila . It is not very hard to understand that.

Therefore, Shrila Bhaktidsidhnantha Sarasvati Thakura said that there is no difference between Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu and Shri Shri Radha Krishna. That includes all features like Associates, Dham and also Naam. That is the greatest secret.

Shrimati Radharani and Lord Shri Krishna, Shyamasundara manifested in the eternal combined Form of Lord Shri Gauranga Mahaprabhu and performed most wonderful pastimes in Shri Navadvipa, Jagganatha Puri Dham and other holy places. Devotees accept the non-difference of Vrindavana and Navadvipa Dhama, associates in Gaura and Krishna lila, but that non-difference also includes the Holy Name, the Naam.

The Holy Name and the Lord are the Same. That is the conclusion of all devotional literature. Therefore, a person may take the Naam, and chanting of that Name will lead to a particular Form of the Lord. Each and every personal Name of Lord has such power. In that regard Gaura Naam is unique. It is the only Name of God where Shrimati Radharani and Lord Krishna are in loving embrace and by chanting Gaura Naam a sadhaka is directly worshiping Shri Shri Radhika and Krishna in Their most merciful mood.

HAPPINESS OF NITYANANDA LECTURE: TRANSCRIPTION

In that way the Lord embraced each and every one of his devotees with pure love. And He told the deotees, "Never consider my offense",

After hearing this kind of humble statement from the Supreme Lord Gaurahari, Gauranga himself, all the devotees started smiling and laughing and Nityananda prabhu started rolling on the ground. So nobody can control this avesha, this manifestation of Nityananda Prabhu. And He manifestated his form of shesha. Nityananda could not control his extreme ecstasy and became overwhelmed in the mellows of pure deotion, since He is non-different from shesha.

Sometimes he was laughing, sometimes he was crying, sometimes his clothes were getting scattered and his entire body , He became like a
child. Where went his danda, where went is water-pot, and where were his clothes, Nityananda prabhu was not aware of anything. He carried a
brahmachari-danda with Him. Nothing remained with Him. So Nityananda prabhu who is suprmely sober of all personalities became very very
agitated by the blissful mellows of loving devotion after meeting His beloved Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu. And the Lord holds Nityananda with
his own hands and He pacified Him. So everyone including Lord Nityananda was controlled by the iron-rod like words of Gauranga
Mahaprabhu. He did not care for anything else but He had to follow the words of Lord Gaura. He told Nityananda be pacified, be calm, You must
worship Vyasadeva tomorrow. In this way the Lord returned home. In that way after hearing everything all the devotees they returned to
their homes while Nityananda remained in the house of Shrivasa thakur. In the night, Nityananda prabhu became so ecstatic that He broke his
danda and his kamandalu. Who has the power to understand the unlimited activities of Lord Nityananda Prabhu? Why did he break his rod and His
pot? It was because of his intense love for Gauranga Mahaprabhu tormenting Him for a long time. So this ends verse number 68 of
Caitanya Bhagavata, Chapter 5, which ends the Adivasa description of Vyasa-puja which is celebrated one day before Vyasa-puja every year.

The more we vibrate and chant His Holy Names, the more we advance in our journey to the spiritual realm, to the spiritual world because the more we develop our spiritual body by chanting the Holy names. So let us awaken our dormant spiritual potential by taking shelter of the Spiritual Sound vibration which is coming from Goloka, "golokera prema dhana, harinaama sankirtana", So the whole treasure house of opulences from the spiritual world is incarnated in this world in the form of the Holy names of Nityaananda! Real peace for humanity

Srimad Bhagavatam 4th canto, 30th chapter, 35th verse states,

yatreḍyante kathā mṛṣṭās
tṛṣṇāyāḥ praśamo yataḥ
nirvairaḿ yatra bhūteṣu
nodvego yatra kaścana

Its a beautiful verse which describes the formula to attain realnon-envious and fearless peace in this world. That is only possible by hearing the transcendental and the pure messages of Lord Gauranga-Krishna.

"yatreḍyante kathā mṛṣṭās" Wherever and whenever the pure kathaemanates from the lips of a pure devotee who is raptly attentive in the pastimes of the lord then "tṛṣṇāyāḥ praśamo yataḥ", all the hankerings of the souls in this material world are quenched simply by hearing these transcendental messages which are coming from the lips of a personality who has realized the pastimes of the lord. the pure sound vibration, unadulterated, that sound which is potent, which the characteristics of the Lord, that sound, and that katha, that messages, those pastimes, simply hear, then all our hankerings are satisfied, permanently, and completely satisfied. "nirvairaḿ yatra bhūteṣu", without any envy, one becomes free form envy, envy is the most difficult and the most hardest, the most unwanted thing in our heart, because envy goes right up to the level of false-ego, the ahankara, which is the knot between the body and the soul.

So envy is very very deep-rooted in us and it is very difficult to uproot. The sole cause of envy is ignorance about our father, Supreme Lord Gauranga-Krishna and that ignorance is removed by hearing the transcendental messages daily about the lord and if we hear them daily then we become free from envy towards everyone because we realize everyone is a part and parcel , a minute spiritual part of the Supreme Lord, of God!

"nodvego yatra kaścana" means one becomes free from all kinds of fear. Fear is caused due to forgetfulness of God. When we remember that we are a integral part of God, we become fearless, but that remembrance only will come by hearing the transcendental messages, the names, the pastimes of the Lord and that too from a realized soul. So this 2 biggest problems envy and fear are eliminated simply by hearing. And this is not for individual; all living entities can be free from envy, not just one or two, because this is the power of the transcendental messages of the Lord.

That love arises in our heart, spontaneously and envy cannot remain there. When we understand our almighty father then we understand the parts of the almighty father. We understand the connection between all of us. It is eternal also. So to become free from envy Bhagavatam repitidely says one thing, "Hear the pure topics about the lord, hear them, take them seriously, consider hearing is your most important activity, is a matter of life and death, we should hear about the Lord, and become free from envy and anxiety. Even one personality who becomes free from envy can change the whole world. This envy is such an unwanted thing and that person can distribute the transcendental sound vibration by becoming free from envy. So I request all of you with folded hands please, please, the lord have given you these ears, they are like cups, you know, to drink the nectar of Lord Gauranga-krishna. Be greedy for this nectar, hear this nectar everyday. Don't let your life go, pass away without this nectar. Make the best use of this human form of life by hearing this
nectar daily. Nitaai Gaura Premaanande! Hari Hari Bol!

One should do anything and everything which is required to make this our last life in this material world, we should do everything, we should be ready to sacrifice everything for that because we do not want anymore next life. Even to earn $10000, $20000, how much you have to work? You work 12 hours a day for many years. And people want to attain Goloka without doing anything. How can it be possible?.

Goloka is the highest, there is no unemployment there, there is no job there permanent solution. Then you should work more harder, more serious. So that is how this life is a preparation of how to get out of here. And while getting out of here to take as many we can with us. We are not preaching in this material world to make this material world a nice place. We are not preaching for that. This world cannot be made a nice place. According to Gita it is dukhalayam asasvatam. It is full of miseries at every step. Even if you are healthy for 5 years, you should thank the lord, for even 1 day, because there are so many diseases, thousands of diseases coming. Every problem is there. When they become sick they start thinking about God. But when they are healthy they take it for granted. So that should be the greed to attain Goloka in this life?
Unless you have that greed we cannot show the Lord our sincerity to go to Goloka. Because if you want to go to America, you need the passport, visa. You have to convince the authorities. They will gice you an interview. You have to convince them, Why you want to go? , What is the reason?. SImilarly to go to Goloka you have to convince the lord. He will give you the ticket-passport, visa. That is the Holy name which is already there. It is our passport. What is our visa?
Devotional service. Devotional service is our visa. Because when we engage in service here in this material world, the Lord becomes attracted to us. The Lord thinks that if I bring him to Goloka, bring this soul to Goloka, there in Goloka also the soul will serve me. So we are attracting the Lord. It is known as Shri Krsna Akarshini. Thats why Bhaktisidhanta Saraswati said never try to see God, but serve God in such a way that God will want to take you to Goloka. Service is the Visa. You may have the passport, but Visa is also important. Both are important. So thank you very much.

Committing Vaishnava Aparadha - Maya's last hope

When a soul starts to chant Nitaai and Gaura Naam, it is very close to attaining all perfection and just one step before leaving this material world.

At that time Mayadevi, has only two options how to test and stop the soul from entering the spiritual world. The first one is to test a sadhaka in the process of chanting. If the jiva somehow or other stops chanting Nitaai and Gaura Naam, spiritual advancement is automatically blocked. That is Her first hope, her first test.

But if a devotee is firm in understanding and chanting the Holy Names of Nityananda, Gauranga and Hare Krishna it is guaranteed that he or she will attain higher levels of devotional service, ruci, asakti, bhava and finally prema. It is so because aparadha nahi rahe taya, by chanting Nitaai and Gaura Naam all the offenses immediately cease to exist. They simply fly away from the heart of a sadhaka. If a devotee is steady and dedicated to the process of chanting, that is just like booking a seat on a plane to Goloka. It is just matter of time when such devotee will be delivered to the transcendental realm of Goloka Vrindavana to eternally assist in the Divine Pastimes of the Supreme Lord according to his or her particular constitutional position.

At that level, still one possibility of obstruction and temporary delay exists. That is the danger of committing Vaishnava aparadha. That is Maya's last hope , the last test of the illusory energy. When a person starts to chant Nitaai and Gaura Naam pure prema is coming. Naam aparadhas are being completely destroyed by Nitaai and Gaura Naam. Then the only possibility of capturing and holding the jiva in this material world is present in the form of committing Vaishnava aparadha. That is the only, the last hope, last test of Maya. It is the reason why Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu stressed so much the importance of proper understanding this topic, why it is described in detail in devotional literature, and why all Acharyas emphasize the necessity of not committing Vaishnava aparadha.

Maya is so expert in bewildering and misguiding that in order to keep jivas in the material world She presented the false theory that Vaishnava aparadha doesn't even exist. Such theories were unknown before, but nowadays even some devotees are preaching about that. In that way, even jivas that accepted Nitaai and Gaura Naam are illusioned to commit offenses, at the same time thinking that they are not real.

So basically, a devotee has only two main concerns. The first one is to regularly chant Nitaai and Gaura Naam along with the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra and the second is to always serve and act as a humble servant of his spiritual master and Vaishnavas. If a devotee simply follows those two guidelines, it is sure that he or she will attain all perfection in this lifetime and at the time of death.

Those two main concerns are manifested in the third verse of Shri Shikshastaka:

trnad api sunicena
taror api sahisnuna
amanina manadena

"One should chant the holy name of Krishna in a humble state of mind, considering oneself to be lower than a blade of grass. One should be more tolerant than a tree, devoid of false prestige, and offer all respect to others, without expecting any respect in return. In this way, one should always chant the holy name of Krishna."

Shrila Krishnadasa Kaviraja Goswami instructed us to wear this verse around our neck and never to forget it. A devotee who is firm in the process of chanting and acts genuine according to this verse, as a servant of Vaishnavas and his spiritual master even while being in this material body, is already a citizen of the spiritual world.

In that way, by chanting Nitaai and Gaura Naam along with the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra, and at the same time serving Vaishnavas and his spiritual master a sadhaka is advancing very rapidly to finally leave the jurisdiction of Mayadevi and enters into the eternal realm of transcendental Navadvipa and Vrindavana.

Nitaai Naama - The Gateway to Madhurya Rasa

In Shri Chaitanya Charitamrta, the author Shrila Krisnadasa Kaviraja Goswami manifested exclusive surrender and devotion to Lord Nityananda. In Gaura-gannodesa-dipika it is described that Shrila Krishnadasa Kaviraja Goswami is Kasturi manjari in Krishna lila, yet he manifested extraordinary one-pointed surrender to the lotus feet of Lord Nitaaichandra showing the way to each and every soul that all desires and all rasas are attainable via Lord Nityananda.

jaya jaya nityananda-caranaravinda,
yanha haite painu sri-radha-govinda
Chaitanya-charitamrita Adi 5.204.

"All glory, all glory to the lotus feet of Lord Nityananda, by whose mercy I have attained Sri Radha-Govinda!"

Exclusive shelter of Shri Shri Radha and Krishna is available to those devotees who take exclusive shelter of Lord Nityananda. That means full surrender to His Name - Nityananda, shravana - reading about His Pastimes from revealed scriptures and listening to His glories, worshiping His devotees and Holy places, honoring prasadam of Lord Nitaai, preaching about His glories etc. In that way, the fallen jiva is being accepted by Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu only because of worshiping the lotus feet of Lord Nityananda Prabhu. Without such worshiping it is impossible to achieve Shri Shri Radha and Krishna in Vrindavana:

Shrila Narottama das Thakura said:
heno nitai vine bhai, radha-krishna paite nai

"Unless one worships Nityananda, one can never achieve
Radha-Krsna."

Lord Nityananda is the transcendental gateway to all rasas. Only by His mercy we may approach to Lord Gauranga who is non-different from Shri Shri Radha and Krishna. That is the proper way. Without such approach, the neophyte devotee runs into rasa-bhasa, or improper mixture of spiritual emotions. Nowadays, it is popular that devotees who did not read even the first Canto of Shrimad Bhagavatam or did not read and understand the position and glories of Nityananda Prabhu, discuss esoteric pastimes of Radha and Krishna, siddha-deha and other advanced topics. That is a wrong approach. To really enter to that realm, a devotee must take exclusive shelter of Lord Nityananda Prabhu. Otherwise, the direct attempt to jump into the kunjas of Vrindavana is just a show and sentimental imitation. Therefore, Shrila Narotama dasa Thakura very directly said that unless one worships Lord Nityananda one can never ever achieve Radha and Krishna.

In Gaura lila, the highest rasa is dasya rasa. But the secret is that dasya rasa in Gaura lila is giving whatever rasa in Krishna lila. Advanced devotees who may hanker in order to achieve the constitutional position of manjari gopi in Krishna-lila will realize that it is possible only via the mercy of Lord Nityananda Prabhu.

nitaai karuna habe vraje radha-krsna pabe

"If Nityananda is merciful,only then one will achieve
the direct service of Radha-Krsna in Vraja."

Neophyte devotees, who are not elevated in the science of devotion, consider that worshiping Lord Nityananda only leads to sakhya bhava, to the position of a servant of priya-narma-sakhas or confidential cowherd friends of Lord Balarama and Krishna, Gopala. But the truth is that Nitaai Nama is the gateway to all rasas, including madhurya rasa. One who is worshiping Lord Nityananda with the desire to attain madhurya bhava will find that it is attainable simply by chanting Nitaai Naam. Then a devotee will realize the connection of Shrimati Jahnava devi and Shrimati Ananga Manjari and surrender into that direction. Worshiping Lord Nityananda along with His consorts Shrimati Vasudha devi and Shrimati Jahnava devi leads to pure madhurya bhava. Such worship is non different than full surrender to Ananga Manjari and via that link, a devotee is fully approaching Shri Shri Radha and Krishna according to its constitutional position. That process of worshiping Lord Nityananda or Lord Gauranga with Their consorts is meant for advanced devotees, not for beginners, and should not be imitated prematurely. Only when a sadhaka realizes his own constitutional position via the chanting of Nityananda, Gauranga and Hare Krishna Mantras he may go further in that direction. Such worshiping is the realm of intimate, private bhajan and realizations should be discussed only with those devotees who may relish and appreciate similar feelings.

Also, in the other direction, Nitaai Naama is a gateway to serving with sentiments of servants of priyanarma-sakha, or most intimate, confidential cowherd boys, friends of Krishna like Madhumangala, Ujjvala, Mahabahu, Arjuna etc. Nitaai Naam is not different from Lord Balarama and fortunate souls who realize their constitutional position in that way fully realize that uniqueness of Nitaai Naam and Form of Balarama. Actually, the position of priyanarma-sakha and their servants may also be considered as position within madhurya rasa, because those confidential boys are serving and increasing loving affairs of Shri Shri Radha and Krishna in unlimited ways.

Therefore, Nitaai Nama is the transcendental gem of all rasas. If you have the desire to attain loving service to the lotus feet of Shri Shri Radhika and Krishna in Vrindavana, the most direct and highest way to achieve it is via Nitaai Nama. Simply by chanting the Holy Name of Lord Nityananda all perfection comes. In fact we are fully depending solely upon the Holy Name of Lord Nityananda. In a degree as one surrenders to Lord Nityananda and His Name,in that degree one will realize and relish transcendental pastimes and affairs of Shri Shri Radha and Krishna in Vrindavana.

That is confirmed by Shrila Madhavendera Puri in Chaitanya-bhagavata, Adi-khanda 9.385:
nityananda-hena bhakta sunile sravane;
avasya paibe krsnacandra sei jane.

"If one simply hears the name 'Nityananda', he will most certainly attain the lotus feet of Lord Krishnacandra irrespective of any other consideration."

The process of chanting Nitaai Nama is the gateway to all rasas. It is the transcendental moon ray that opens the lotus bud of our relation to Krishna, and makes it fully blossom by revealing our eternal constitutional position.

Today on the the most auspicious disappearance day of my Parama Gurudeva Shrila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura Prabhupada, I would like to announce that we have streamlined our daily services and service schedule at our NITAAI Yoga Ashram in Jagannatha Puri Dhaam for the service of Shri Shri Pancha Tattva, Shri Jagannatha, Shri Shri Radha Damodara, Shri Naam Shilas, Shri Guru Parampara and all the present and visiting devotees.

I am personally giving daily Satsanga from 7:45 to 8:30 am and from 7:30 to 8:15 pm in addition to taking devotees on Puri Dhaam Parikrama and the extra afternoon and early evening darshans. We are also working on a plan to begin our in-house book and DVD video publishing and distribution about the most confidential Nityananda Gauranga Tattva in Kali Yuga.

We are now joined full-time by Sevananda Hari dasa and Ganatoshita devi dasi from Uruguay for our Deity Worship and Prasadam Cooking services. They are quite punctual and effective while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and cooking varieties of recipes for bhoga and prasadam. Bhakta Jayakrishna is our manager and Bhakta Dinesh is our tech person. Our kitchen has now been solely dedicated to cooking for the Lord and appropriate arrangements for serving the devotees etc. are underway to keep up the good standard of purity and cleanliness. We are also joined by Bhakta Anil who will take care of our upcoming Goshala to serve the cows and provide milk, yoghurt and ghee for the service of Shri Pancha Tattva and the devotees. Photo of these three new devotees, the photo of the upcoming Goshala, and the photo of Shri Pancha Tattva etc. have been attached to this message. So now we have a good team of around 7 devotees in the service of Shri Pancha Tattva here in Puri Dhaam apart from hundreds of you wonderful devotees who are always supporting in all ways. One should do anything and everything which is required to make this our last life in this material world, we should do everything, we should be ready to sacrifice everything for that because we do not want anymore next life. Even to earn $10000, $20000, how much you have to work? You work 12 hours a day for many years. And people want to attain Goloka without doing anything. How can it be possibe?.

According to Gita it is dukhalayam asasvatam. It is full of miseries at every step. Even if you are healthy for 5 years, you should thank the lord, for even 1 day, because there are so many diseases, thousands of diseases coming. Every problem is there. When they become sick they start thinking about God. But when they are healthy they take it for granted. So that should be the greed to attain Goloka in this life. Unless you have that greed we cannot show the Lord our sincerity to go to Goloka. Because if you want to go to America, you need the passport, visa. You have to convince the authorities. They will gice you an interview. You have to convince them, Why you want to go? , What is the reason?. SImilarly to go to Goloka you have to convince the lord. He will give you the ticket-passport, visa.

That is the Holy name which is already there. It is our passport. What is our visa?, devotional service. Devotional service is our visa. Because when we engage in service here in this material world, the Lord becomes attracted to us. The Lord thinks that if I bring him to Goloka, bring this soul to Goloka, there in Goloka also the soul will serve me. So we are attracting the Lord. It is known as Shri Krsna Akarshini. Thats why Bhaktisidhanta Saraswati said never try to see God, but serve God in such a way that God will want to take you to Goloka. Service is the Visa. You may have the passport,but Visa is also important. Both are important. So thank you very much.

Goloka is the highest, there is no unemployment there, there is no job there, permanent solution. Then you should work more harder, more serious. So that is how this life is a preparation of how to get out of here. And while getting out of here to take as many we can with us. We are not preaching in this material world to make this material world a nice place. We are not preaching for that. This world cannot be made a nice place. The Transcedental Ocean of Gaura Naam and Gaura-lila

The Gaura-Naam is deeper than the deepest ocean. It is ever-increasing, unlimited pure transcendental cure for all fallen and sinful souls of this Age. Shri Chaitanya Bhagavata and Shri Chaitanya Charitamrita are the jewels of that ambrosial ocean, and Gaura and Nitai Naam are most beautiful, transcendental boats that enable us to travel with the unlimited mercy of Lord Nityananda and Lord Gauranga.

We are in fact very fortunate souls because we came in contact with this knowledge, with pure devotees and previous Acharyas. We are so fortunate to have their books and words of such unique spiritual masters like Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura, Shrila Bhaktisidhnantha Sarasvati Thakura or Shrila Prabhupada. It is so rare. More than that, we got this rarest opportunity to take active participation in the most glorious Nitaai Gaura Harinama Sankirtana, in preaching and distributing the Holy Names of Lord Nityananda and Lord Gauranga.

We should perform this sankirtana without any fruitive desires. Our only desire should be to satisfy our spiritual master and previous Acharyas. We should take an active role in this movement just to please them and distribute as much as we can and depend on the mercy for results. Therefore, we are stressing so much -"Preach, preach, preach about Nitaai and Gaura Naam!" What is the result of such endeavors?

If you take this rare opportunity and chant Nitaai and Gaura Naam,you will be thrown into the pulsating waves of that ocean. That is an ocean of pure love that emanates from Radha and Krishna's loving embrace. In their loving embrace they eternally become One, and as Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu they are distributing that pure love to everyone, in form of the divine sound - the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. There are no considerations, just come and take, take this Name, chant and become eternally happy.

Please understand that this opportunity is very rare. Human life is very rare. But still, highest possibility is here. It is a chance to forever leave this material world and enter into the spiritual realm of pure love, Goloka Vrindavana. That is the unique opportunity. How to do that?

kaler dosa-nidhe rajann asti hy eko mahan gunah
kirtanad eva krishnasya mukta-sangah param vrajet
Shrimad Bhagavatam 12.3.51

"My dear King, although Kali-yuga is an ocean of faults, there is still one good quality about this age: Simply by chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra, one can become free from material bondage and be promoted to the transcendental kingdom."

This Age is an ocean of faults. We can see it practically on every step. Day by day qood qualities are fading and negative ones increase. Degradation of moral principles, behavior, families, traditions is very rapid in this present time. Still, there is one good quality - chanting of the Holy Names. That is the only good quality of this Age. Kirtanad eva krishnasya, simply by chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra we may become free from this prison and material bondage. Chanting Nityananda and Gauranga Mantrarajas will guide and give pure Harinaam, or pure chanting of Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. That is the goal of life. At that stage a sadhaka fully realizes that there is no difference between Lord Gauranga and shri Shri Radha and Krishna, no difference between Gaura Naam and Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. Simply by chanting Gaura Naam, a sadhaka may reach the nectar of ambrosial Gaura-lila, and transcendental sweetness of amorous pastimes of Shrimati Radhika and Shyamasundara in the groves of Vrindavana.

Chanting Nitaai and Gaura Naam - the Only Way

In this fallen age there is no other way to achieve pure devotional service or pure level of chanting Hare Krishna Maha Mantra, but to first take full shelter in regular chanting the Names of Nityananda and Gauranga. It is clearly stated by Shrila Visvanatha Chakravarti Thakura in Sri Ksanada-gita-cintamani:

patita durgata yata kali-hata yara,
nitai caitanya bali nace gaya tara

"The fallen, misguided and unfortunate souls
devastated by Kali-yuga will dance in ecstasy when
they chant the names of Nityananda and Gauranga since
this is the only way for their deliverance."

The reason why the chanting of The Holy Names Nityananda and Gauranga is the only way is described by Shrila Krishnadasa Kaviraja Goswami in Shri Chaitanya Charitamrta Adi 8.31:

chaitanya-nityanande nahi esaba vicara,
nama laite prema dena, vahe asrudhara

"But if one only chants, with some slight faith, the holy names of Lord Gauranga and Nityananda, very quickly he is cleansed of all offenses. Since in the chanting of the names of Nityananda-Gauranga there is no consideration of offenses, one will very quickly come to the stage of love of God, simply by chanting Their names and tears of pure love for Krishna will flow from the eyes."

We are not capable to chant purely Hare Krishna Maha Mantra without first taking full shelter in chanting Nityananda and Gauranga. It is repeatedly confirmed by revealed scriptures and commentaries of Shrila Prabhupada, Shrila Bhaktisiddhantha Sarasvati Thakura and Shrila Bhaktiivinoda Thakura - sometimes in a direct and sometimes in a hidden way because that is the transcendental flow of revealing Nitaai and Gaura Naam. Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is hidden in scriptures, in Vedas, so also His Name is very well hidden. Those fortunate devotees who take shelter and have faith in Lord Nityananda may understand such mysteries and like a bumblebee may collect and extract hidden meanings from every verse of revealed scriptures.

In our fallen condition we are not capable to purely chant the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. That is confirmed by Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura:

kali jivera aparadha asankhya durvara;
gauranga-nama vina tara nahika uddhara.
Navadvipa-dhama-mahatmya Chp 1

"The offenses and sins of the living entities in Kali-yuga are unlimited and absolutely insurmountable. That is why the souls can never never be delivered without the regular chanting the most merciful name of 'Gauranga'."

Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura repeated the same point - only by chanting Hare Krishna souls can never never be delivered because of offenses and aparadhas. Therefore, the only solution is to first take shelter in Nitaai and Gaura Naam and then chant Hare Krishna protected by Nityananda and Gauranga Mantrarajas. Practically speaking, chanting Nitaai and Gaura Naam along with the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra is the only way in this Age of attaining level of pure chanting and pure love for Lord Gauranga-Krishna.

Verse 26:

karma patha jnana patha me pathika jo jana,
unake uddhara hetu gaura nama ka yatana.

"The munificient Holy Names of Nityananda and Gauranga relentlessly strive to rescue, uplift and deliver those misguided souls who are struggling in the dualities of material sense enjoyment and speculative knowledge."

A conditioned soul is trapped in this material world from time of immemorial and the only way to leave this prison is to accept the path of pure devotional service or bhakti. Misguided souls are trying to find permanent solution by mundane activities and speculative knowledge, but that is simply not possible. In fact such attempts are

considered to be obstacles on the path of devotional service and Shrila Narottama dasa Thakura described in his Prema-bhakti-candrika:

karma-kanda jnana kanda kevala visera bhanda.

"The paths of karma kanda and jnana kanda are just like pots of strong poison"

A person who is attracted to the path of material sense enjoyment or speculative knowledge simply spoils his rare

chance to attain pure love for the Supreme Lord. A devotee is not interested in such secondary paths, but only to favorable cultivation of devotional service:

anyabhilasita-sunyam
jnana-karmady-anavrtam
anukulyena krsnanu-
silanam bhaktir uttama
Shri Chaitanya Charitamrta Madhya 19.167

"When first-class devotional service develops, one must be devoid of all material desires, knowledge obtained by monistic philosophy, and fruitive action. The devotee must constantly serve Krishna favorably, as Krishna desires."

The Holy Names of Lord Nityananda and Gauranga are a direct highway to pure devotional service devoid of all material concepts like paths of karma kanda, jnana or mystical yoga. Chanting of Nitaai and Gaura Naam leads to pure devotional service that is rendered in a pure state of love, krishna prema.

Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura explained this fact in Navadvipa Dhama Mahatmya in the following way:

nitai-chaitanya bali yei jiva dake;
suvimala krishna-prema anvesaye thake.

"If one calls out the names of Nityananda and Gauranga, the purest Krishna-prema (pure love of Krishna) comes searching after such a person."

When a fortunate soul accepts and chants the Holy Names of Lord Nityananda and Lord Gauranga all wrong conceptions like tendencies for karma kanda and jnana kanda are being destroyed from the core of the heart and pure devotional service arises. Gaura kirtana, or chanting Holy Names of Lord Gauranga is the most confidential secret of all times. It is revealed in scriptures like Navadvipa dhama Mahatmya and Shri Chaitanya Bhagavata in a direct way, while in many other a devotee may find thousands of verses and hints that are leading toward congregational chanting of Gaura Naam.

In Shri Nagara Kirtana, or Kirtana in the city, Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura gave Shriman Mahaprabhura sata-nama ora hundred Names of Lord Caitanya that Lord Nityananda used to chant while He was dancing in the towns of Nadia. It is direct evidence that Lord Nityananda almost constantly performed Gaura-kirtana, chanting of the Holy Names of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu.

Gaura or Krishna Kirtana consists of the Names of Lord Gauranga and Lord Krishna. That is Kirtana. The Primary Holy Name of Lord Krishna is Krishna, but in kirtana devotees are singing many Names like Hari Haraye namah, or "Jaya Govinda, Jaya Gopala!" or "Radha-Ramana Hari". In his famous song Dalarera-gita Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura directly explained that Lord Nityananda is giving pure Krishna Naam to a devotee who chants the Name Gauranga with great feeling and ecstasy:

ek-bar dekhle cakhe jal
'gaura' bole' nitaai den sakala sambal

"If He sees only once tears in the eyes while chanting the name "Gaura" then He gives everything to that person."

In this song, Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura explained the whole process of chanting Nitaai and Gaura Naam along with the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. Lord Nityananda has opened a market-place of the holy Name. Everyone may come and take, but He is selling for the price of one's faith.

So,the first step is faith in Lord Nityananda and His Name. We must approach first to the salesman, to the owner of the marketplace and that is Lord Nityananda. We must have that faith and take shelter in Lord Nityananda. That is the first step. How we may do it? By chanting His Name - Nityananda, Nityananda. That is faith in Nityananda. If a person has attraction and faith in Nitaai, he or she will chant His Name and actually begging, crying for His mercy.

Only by taking full shelter in Nitaai Naam a offensive person may advance toward the level of advanced chanting Harinam and finally pure chanting. Therefore, Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura is saying, if you want Krishna Naam, then you must go first to Lord Nityananda. In other words if you want to attain pure chanting of Hare Krishna, you must chant Nitaai Naam with faith and dedication.

Then Lord Nityananda is saying -"I will give you pure Krishna Naam, but I must take my commision!" So, what is his request? When will He give that pure Krishna Naam? 'gaura' bole' nitaai den sakala sambal...

When Lord Nityananda sees only once tears in the eyes while chanting the name "Gaura", Gauranga", immediately He is giving everything. He is purchased by seeing this. That is His price. Who can deny that?

So that is the second step. First we are taking full shelter in Nitaai Naam, Nityananda. Faith in Nityananda. Then we are chanting Gaura-Naam, Gauranga and in that way we are making progress in spiritual life, progress toward the realm of Vrindavana, Radha and Krishna. By regular chanting Gaura Naam we are becoming qualified to approach and realize the pastimes of Shri Shri Radha and Shyamasundara.

Then, the third step is absorption in Krishna Naam. That is the process. First Nitaai Naam, Nityananda, then Gaura Naam, Gauranga and then surrender to Hari Naam, Hare Krishna, to Radha and Krishna.

Nitaai Nama, Nitaai Katha,Nitaai Dhyana,Nitaai Dhama, Nityananda sevaka seva... that is the process of proper approaching to Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu and Shri Shri Radha and Krishna. As much as one is absorbed in chanting in the Name of Nityananda, in speaking, reading and listening about Lord Nityananda, in worshiping and visiting Holy places connected with Lord Nityananda, in meditation and rememberance of Lord Nityananda's Form and Pastimes and in service to His devotees, in such degree a devotee will be able to realize and approach Gaura Katha and Shri Shri Radha and Krishna in Vrindavana.

We may get full mercy of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu only if we get mercy of Lord Nityananda Prabhu. Without understanding Lord Nityananda, none can properly understand and worship Lord Gauranga or Shri Shri Radha and Krishna in Vrindavana. It is very important to understand this process. In such way, a fortunate person may get the mercy of Lord Nityananda. What is the symptom of such mercy? Shrila Jiva Goswami told to Lord Nityananda:

tumi yabe kara daya sei anayase;
shri chaitanya-pada paya prema-jale bhase.

"If You are merciful on someone, that person will effortlessly achieve the lotus feet of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu and thus drown in the ocean of pure ecstatic love for Lord Krishna."

If a person somehow or other gets a drop of Lord Nityananda's mercy, he or she will effortlessly achieve Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. When reaching Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu, the jiva effortlessly reaches the ocean of pure ecstatic love for Shri Shri Radha and Krishna. Here again full process of chanting Nitaai Naam is described. By taking shelter of the Holy Name of Nityananda,the jiva is effortlessly acheiving Gaura Naam and then pure ecstatic level of chanting Krishna Naam, or Hare Krishna Maha Mantra.There is no other alternative than this process. Only by the mercy of Lord Nityananda, the jiva may get the mercy of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu. That is confirmed in Chaitanya-charitamrita Antya 6.131:

tomara krpa vina keha'chaitanya' na paya;
tumi krpa kaile tanre adhameha paya.

"No one can attain the shelter of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu without Your (Lord Nityananda's) mercy, but if You are merciful, even the lowest of men can attain shelter at His lotus feet."

Therefore, the most direct and effective way of getting full mercy of Lord Nityananda is manifested in the process of chanting His Name - Nityananda. By chanting His Name, everything is becoming manifested in a life of a sadhaka - meditation on Lord Nitaai's Form, Pastimes, Abode... Then pure attractiveness toward Lord Gaura's Name, Form, Abode arise in the heart. That all leads toward pure loving service of Shri Shri Radhika and Shyamasundara in the fragrant forests of Vrindavana and eternal divine realm of pure love.

The sum and substance of all spiritual life may be summarized in the following verse:

yo mantrah sa guruh saksat, yo guruh sa harih svayam;
guru yasya bhavet tustas, tasya tusto harih svayam.

"The Mantras given by the Guru itself act as the Guru, and the Guru is a direct manifestation of Lord Hari. If one pleases the Guru, one directly pleases Lord Hari."

This is a very important verse. Just try to understand. Mantras given by the spiritual master, Nitaai and Gaura Naam, HariNaam are specially empowered by the energy of the spiritual master , realizations, love . Therefore, the Naam becomes our life and soul. Because of our gurudeva's mercy. How should we act toward our spiritual master? yo guruh sa harih svayam..just as we will act if Hari, Krishna would stand before us. Just like that. When you are in the presence of guru, act like that. Why? Because the spiritual master is the direct manifestation of Lord Hari, Krishna. Nowadays, persons do not want to have an eternal relation, to serve the guru. They want just to get the name and then to throw the guru away. It is ignorance. Only via service to the spiritual master, a disciple may satisfy Krishna. That is confirmed in this verse tasya tusto harih svayam...If one pleases the Guru, one directly pleases Lord Hari.

Shrila Vishvanatha Cakravarti Thakura confirms that in his prayers to the lotus feet of his spiritual master:

sakshad-dharitvena samasta-sastrair
uktas tatha bhavyata eva sadbhih
kintu prabhor yah priya eva tasya
vande guroh sri caranaravindam

All the scriptures proclaim Shri Gurudeva is the direct potency of Shri Hari, and
is thus considered by saintly authorities to be His non-different representative. Because Shri
Gurudeva is so dear to the Lord, being His confidential servitor I offer prayers unto his lotus feet.

That is the right vision of the position of the spiritual master. We are like babies, what can we do properly? Only with the mercy of our spiritual master we may advance and reach Krishna and Vrndavana. That is the secret. We do not have the capacity nor purity to directly understand what Krishna wants from us.

yasya prasadad bhagavat-prasado
yasyaprasadan na gatih kuto 'pi
dhyayam stuvams tasya yasas tri-sandhyam
vande guroh sri caranaravindam

"Only by the mercy of Shri Gurudeva can one receive the mercy of Krishna; without his grace the living entities cannot make any advancement nor be delivered. Meditating three times a day on the glories of Shri Gurudeva and reciting stava-stuti, I offer prayers unto his lotus feet. "

The glories of the spiritual master are unlimited. But to understand even a particle of such glories, a disciple must be humble, must get some mercy to understand. Mercy comes through service. Not by knowledge. You cannot understand even a particle of the glories of your spiritual master by mundane vision. Not even a particle. Only via bhakti, only via service. Only when you throw your heart in the dust before his lotus feet and proclaim " I may be a fool, but I do not see any other option to reach Krishna but to catch your lotus feet..." only then Krishna will give you the right vision.

What then to say about persons who consider the spiritual master to be a mundane or ordinary person. They are automatically in illusion . So, only via devotional service you may see. Otherwise you will become puzzled, bewildered. Activities of pure devotees are such great mistery. None can understand such activities. Not even Indra, sages, munis, yogis. Only a pure devotee may understand the activities, motives and actions of another pure devotee.

So, in order to understand we must also become pure. We must become qualified. Nowadays everyone is trying to judge or give some opinion about everything, including actions of the spiritual master. But person first must understand that disciple is servant, and second, in order to understand you must be a pure devotee. Sometimes, the spiritual master hides transcendental emotions, genuine spiritual emotions. Why? Because almost none would understand. That is even described in Shri Chaitanya Bhagavata and Vaishnava literature that the devotee shed tears of separation. But almost none is qualified to understand. In that way, we should realize that we must become advanced in spiritual life to understand such and simmilar action, not to judge by our limited perspective.

In another song it is said..Chaknu dhana dilo yei janme janme prabhu sei....that should be our prayer to our spiritual master. Not just by words. "Oh, he accepted me as a student now he is responsible...and I ,may act as I want." No. that is demonic mentality. A true disciple always considers oneself as a servant. I am a servant. Not guru. My desire is to somehow serve him. That is the right attitude. I may be fallen, full of mistakes, but somehow let me try, let me do my best.

That is what satisfies Krishna the most. Nothing more. Then Krishna is automatically satisfy. " Oh, this soul is serving my pure devotee, that is so nice..." That is the process.

When you develop such attraction toward your spiritual master you will follow anywhere and everywhere. You may not even see your spiritual master, but if you have the right vision you will see him through his words. You will feel that connection.

And that connection is eternal. It is not that we are going from A to B and than we throw guru away. No.Even in spiritual world we are approaching to Krishna via spiritual master. It is not that we are running directly. That relation is eternal. Guru tattva is the most important subject matter. Every disciple must invest energy to properly understand the origin, nature, role, position of both, spiritual master and disciple. That is real spiritual science.

Every disciple should develop proper understanding of the position and role of the spiritual master and previous Acharyas in our spiritual life. It should be clear that our only link, as the matter of fact, the only way to really attain Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu and Shri Shri Radha- Krishna is through the mercy of our spiritual master.

At the time of initiation the spiritual master is giving the seed of all transcendental knowledge to the heart of a disciple. The divine seed that possesses all knowledge of the Holy Names, Forms, Pastimes of the Supreme Lord. Everything is given by the spiritual master at the time of diksha. Just like a small seed may grow into a gigantic banjan tree, also by regular watering - chanting and hearing about the Lord, serving Vaishnavas and spiritual master, the tiny seed of devotion starts to grow.

In that way, the initiation is very beginning, not the end of spiritual life. We are eternal servants of the spiritual master. It is not that just for some time we are connected with him, and later we just neglect the spiritual master and want to run to Krishna directly. No. That is a wrong approach. We should always feel ourselves to be eternal servants of the spiritual master. We should not desire to go alone. Only if our spiritual master takes our hand and bring us there, to the transcendental realm of Vrindavana we will be able to go.

Actually, we are not capable to serve the Supreme Lord directly. It is high above our capacity. Our only way to approach this service is via disciplic succession. When we are worshiping Deities, or cook nice food to be offered or whatever service we have we are doing that as a service to our spiritual master. We offer everything first to him. Then, the spiritual master transfers to his spiritual master and so on, until our service finally reaches Lord Krishna. Then He will accept. If you want to jump alone, thinking to be a advanced rasika devotee, that you can jump directly to Radha-Krishna lila without dedicating service to the lotus feet of the spiritual master you will not be successful.

Who is a real rasika devotee? The one who is thinking and acting as a humble servant of the spiritual master. Only such person develops all qualities to hear and relish all transcendental topics. It is happening simply by service. By serving the lotus feet of the spiritual master all desires in spiritual life become manifested. When we say serving the lotus feet of the spiritual master that means fulfilling his instructions, his desires. A disciple must use his intelligence to understand whatthe mission of his or her spiritual master is and try to help him in any way. That is true serving. Serve the mission of the spiritual master, help in some way. Dive deep in his teachings and make them your life and soul.

A devote never thinks that he or she is some advanced soul that has no need of spiritual master. The relation with guru is based on love and service, attachment to his lotus feet may be stronger than all logic, theories and proper behavior. We should develop such attachment. How to do it?

Only by listening...No other way. If you want to develop strong faith, to really understand what is the role, desire, instructions of your spiritual master, you may do it only via listening. Reading is also listening. So, read and listen every word of your spiritual master and be like a sponge. That is most important service to guru. Try really deeply to absorb his teachings. Words from the lotus mouth of a pure devotee has tremendous power. That is the power to change a cold heart into meek silk. When you develop such attraction to hear his words there will be no more darkness. No more illusion.

By manufacturing own terminology and using impersonal terms that are not supported in Vaishnava literature those theories clearly indicate that they are not part of the bonafide disciplic succession but pure speculations.Words of such theories may be sweet but they are not pointing to Lord Nityananda directly, therefore they are of no value. If the subject of speech is not Lord Krishna in Bhagavan Form, Personal aspect of God, what is the value of such talks? Sweet language and polite words have no point if the goal is not Lord Gauranga! We should preach directly about conclusions of Shri Chaitanya Charitamrta and Chaitanya Bhagavata.

Under the influence of the Age of Kali Impersonal terminology like "energy", "sentimental feelings of universal love","universal mind", etc replaced pure devotional descriptions and words of previous Acharyas. That is an attempt of dissolving the Eternal Truths.

In Chaitanya Candramrta verse 19. it is said that all talks and theories that are not confirmed by authority of pure devotees of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu are just bitter talks about the impersonal path, labyrinth paths of dry scholarship and useless discussions:

avad-brahma-katha vimukti-padavi tavan na tikti-bhavet
tavac-capi visrokhalatvamayate no loka-veda-sthitih
tavac-chastra-vidam mithah kalakalo nana-bahir-vartmastu
shri-chaitanya-padambuja-priyajano yavan na drg gocarah

" As long as one has not seen a pure devotee of Shri, Gauranga Mahaprabhu, he will be engaged in tasting bitter talks about the impersonal path of liberation. As long as one has not seen a devotee of Lord Gauranga, he will be bound by social and Vedic convention, blindly following formalities and traditions without understanding their purpose. As long as one never sees one of the bee-like devotees addicted to drinking the nectar from the lotus feet of Shri Gauranga, he will be forced to walk in endless circles on the labyrinthine paths of dry Vedic scholarship, wasting valuable time in useless discussions on futile religious practices. "

Such persons may present volumes of theories but cannot support even one statement by authority of a sadhu, guru and shastras. They proudly think that they may attain God with their own capacity and abilities, at the same time neglecting personal aspect of God and the importance of the spiritual master, Vaishnavas and disciplic succession, but all such endeavors are just mental speculations and new age sentimentalism based on False Ego.

9. False gurus, false theories and disturbance

Under the poison of impersonalism and new age speculations, bewildered persons cannot recognize nor accept the authority of pure devotees, shastras and Guru Parampara because of envy. Instead of surrender they reject their own spiritual masters and place titles on their forehead. This was predicted in Shrimad Bhagavatam a long time ago.

Shrila Prabhupada wrote on Srimad Bhagavatam 8.12.10:

"In this age of Kali, so many gurus have sprung up, and because they do not refer to the sruti-smriti-puranadi-pancaratrika-vidhi [BRS 1.2.101], they are creating a great disturbance in the world in regard to understanding the Absolute Truth. However, those who follow the pancaratriki-vidhi under the guidance of a proper spiritual master can understand the Absolute Truth."

New Age gurus have no value at all because they do not belong to guru parampara and therefore their conclusions about Bhagavad Gita and the way how one should interpret is bogus. A devotee always follows the conclusions of guru parampara:

" Whenever we write something, we give immediately Vedic evidence. We give some Sanskrit verse. This means that we are not manufacturing ourself. What we have heard from the parampara system, from higher authorities, we are presenting, simply, in our own language, and the evidence is this Vedic verse. This is perfect literature."

Shrila Prabhupada August 21, 1972, Los Angeles Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.2.18.

Conclusion:

Pride, ego and envy toward spiritual master and pure devotees swallowed bhakti in words of new age reformators. Such theories directly contradict the teachings of previous Acharyas, sadhus and shastras. Neophyte devotees attracted to the sweet words of impersonal approach may feel attraction to such theories, but devotees who are fixed in devotional service and well versed in knowledge of shastras can easily defeat and reject such bogus philosophies. Still, a devotee sees debating about such manufactured philosophies as waste of time. It is best to use energy in preaching about Lord Nityananda and Gauranga and sincere service to Vaishnavas and spiritual master.

The only solution to such persons is to sincerely accept the true verdict of Shrimad Bhagavatam, chase away all mundane new age speculations, really surrender to the spiritual master and then preach about pure conclusions of revealed scriptures.

The conclusion is that such theories are presenting something that is not a path given by Shrila Prabhupada, Shrila Bhaktisidhantha Sarasvati Thakura, Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura, previous Acharyas and revealed scriptures but covered impersonalism mixed with new age sentimental speculations.

Pure devotional service is sanatana, eternal activity of soul that is described in authoritative scriptures and confirmed by saintly persons and spiritual masters. This highest conclusion of eternal devotional Truths is summarized in chanting Nityananda, Gauranga and Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

5.The Guru cannot reject a offensive disciple theory

The next misconception is the theory that a guru cannot reject an offensive disciple. If a disciple is constantly offensive toward previous Acharyas, Shastras, other Vaishnavas, a guru may reject the disciple in order to save the disciple from further offenses. There are many examples. In Chaitanya Charitamrta it is said that Advaita Acharya had two groups of disciples, and that the bogus ones were rejected. In Hari-nama-cintamani, 10th Pariccheda it is stated:

vaisnava samaje taha kari vigyapana
sei dusta sisya tyaga kare mahajana

"The Guru should announce in an assembly of devotees and in this way reject the sinful disciple who is engaging in Vaishnava aparadha or Nama aparadha."

6.The Lord is the Doer so we don't have any responsibility theory

The theory that the Lord is Doer in such term that we do not have a free will to chose how we will act is a completely impersonalistic theory.The Lord is the Doer, but he is not the one to be blamed for our illusion, offensive behaviour. We have our desires and free will, but they are supervised by the Supreme Lord. It is easy to act on ones own way at same time blaming Krishna to be the Doer of all such nonsense. Everything happens by Krishna's will does not mean that the soul has no free will. The living entity is ultimately responsible for his acts, not Krishna.This is described in Bhagavad Gita18.63.

iti te jnanam akhyatam
guhyad guhyataram maya
vimrsyaitad asesena
yathecchasi tatha kuru

"Thus I have explained to you the most confidential of all knowledge. Deliberate on this fully, and then do what you wish to do."

In purport to this verse Shrila Prabhupada wrote:

"Here Lord Krishna tells Arjuna that he can do as he chooses. God does not interfere with the little independence of the living entity.

7.The Divine unfolding or direct surrendering theory

The false theory of direct surrendering without the need of a spiritual master is bogus and not in the line of devotional service. In Bhagavad Gita, Krishna is in the role of a spiritual master and Arjuna is the disciple. New age speculators do not see that Arjuna is surrendering in the role of a disciple. By preaching about some direct surrendering, such uninformed persons neglect and minimize the importance of Guru Parampara. Lord Chaitanya, Advaita Acharya, Lord Nityananda even they are God, but still accept initiation and strictly follow the spiritual master. All previous Acharyas preached that we should become servants of the servants of the servant of Krishna's servant. It is not that a person just sits, and "feels" Krishna. That is sahajiya behaviour. None can jump over the spiritual master, Shrila Prabhupada,Bhaktivinoda and all Acharyas and just directly feel divine unfolding of some universal love. That is nonsense. Such direct, connecting without guru, Acharyas, Naam etc. is impersonal nonsense.

The only way of seeing, or feeling Krishna is via the service to the spiritual master. One cannot approach Bhagavan, God, directly:

nasta-prayesv abhadresu
nityam bhagavata-sevaya
bhagavaty uttama-sloke
bhaktir bhavati naisthiki
SB 1.2.18,

Translation: "By regularly hearing the Bhagavatam and rendering service unto the pure devotee, all that is troublesome to the heart is practically destroyed, and loving service unto the glorious Lord, who is praised with transcendental songs, is established as an irrevocable fact."

"Prabhupada: So here it is said bhagavata-sevaya, not bhagavan-sevaya. Bhagavan is Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and bhagavata means in relation with Bhagavan, who has got relationship with Bhagavan. So here it is recommended bhagavata-sevaya, not bhagavan-sevaya. The idea is that you cannot approach Bhagavan, God, directly. That is not possible. First of all, you have to serve bhagavata, the devotee bhagavata." Shrila Prabhupada August 21, 1972, Los Angeles Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.2.18.

That is the path of previous Acharyas, no artificial, direct so-called visions or perception of God, while at same time minimizing the instructions and position of the spiritual master and guru parampara.

3.Vaishnava aparadha myth theory

Vaishnava aparadha is not a myth, but reality. Every devotee may understand that simply fact by reading in Shrimad Bhagavatam about Maharaja Ambharisa and Durvasa Muni, Indra and Cirtaketu, Daksha and Shiva, Romaharshana Suta, Hiranyakashipu and Prahlada, Kala Krishnadasa, Chota Haridasa, how Minaketana Ramadasa acted and thousands other examples. Read the commentaries of Shrila Prabhupada and you will understand that "Vaishnava aparadha is a Myth" is a bogus speculation theory. By propagating such false theories, they are trying to give legitimacy for free behavior and neglectful and offensive attitude toward guru, sadhus and shastras all in the name of some "universal love". Such theory directly contradicts the teachings of previous Acharyas:

"Therefore Vaishnava aparadha is very, very offensive. You should be very careful. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has warned vaishnava aparadha, hati mata. Vaishnava aparadha, offense at the feet of Vaishnava, is exactly like a mad elephant. If a mad elephant enters your garden, then he spoils everything. This has been given. Vaishnava aparadha means hati mata. Mata means mad, and hati means elephant. So we should be very, very careful not to commit any offense at the feet of a Vaishnava. A Vaishnava does not take any offense. He does not care who is the offender, but Krishna takes care. Krishna will never tolerate if a person is Vaishnava aparadha. Mind that. Just like a big man. You can offend him, he doesn't mind. But if he does something harmful to his child, so he becomes very angry."

According to Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī Thākura, there are two kinds of impediments to devotional service. The first is an offense at the lotus feet of a Vaishnava. This is called vaishnava-aparādha. Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu warned His devotees not to commit vaishnava-aparādha, which He described as the mad elephant offense

It is also confirmed in Chaitanya Bhagavata Madhya 22.56.

sulapani sama yadi vaishnavere ninde
tathapiha nasa paya -- kahe shastra vrinde

"Even if some one of the level of the supremely powerful devotee and gunavatara Lord Shiva blasphemes a devotee, he will soon be destroyed. This is the verdict of all the scriptures."

There are unlimited evidences in scriptures that vaishnava aparadha is real, not a myth. The main misconception of this false theory is that aparadha exists only in the mind. That is grave speculation. The fact is that it is not the Vaishnava who is offended for Supreme Lord Krishna cannot tolerate vaishnava aparadha:

"Krishna, however, cannot tolerate any insults or blasphemy against a Vaishnava. For example, Prahlāda Mahārāja was chastised by his father, Hiraṇyakaśipu, in so many ways, but although Prahlāda tolerated this, Krishna did not. The Lord therefore came in the form of Nrsimhadeva to kill Hiranyakaśipu. Similarly, although Śrīla Haridāsa Thākura tolerated the insult by Gopāla Cakravartī, Krishna could not. The Lord immediately punished Gopāla Cakravartī by making him suffer from leprosy. While instructing Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī about the many restrictive rules and regulations for Vaishnavas, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu has very vividly described the effects of offenses at the lotus feet of a Vaishnava. Yadi vaishnava-aparādha uthe hātī mātā (CC Madhya 19.156). Offending or blaspheming a Vaishnava has been described as the greatest offense, and it has been compared to a mad elephant. When a mad elephant enters a garden, it ruins all the creepers, flowers and trees. Similarly, if a devotee properly executing his devotional service becomes an offender at the lotus feet of his spiritual master or another Vaishava, his devotional service is spoiled."

4. Fear does not exist in spirituality theory

Another new age bogus theory is that fear does not exist in spirituality or the spiritual world. That is contrary to teachings of Shrimad Bhagavatam."Everything is love, and everything is the same" are typical new age phanthasies. The devotees in Vaikuntha-region serve the Lord filled with awe and reverence. In Sri Brhad Bhagatamrtam by Srila Sanatan Goswami, Gopa Kumar entered Vaikuntha, the spiritual planet:
"More persons, some alone, some in groups of two, and some in very large groups, came, each more glorious than those before, and entered the Lord's city. Seeing them, as before, I dived into the ocean of awe and reverence, bowed down before them."

In Bhagavad Gita, the Supreme Personality Lord Shri Krishna directly explained:
ami hi tvam sura-sangha vishanti
kecid bhitah pranjalayo grnanti
svastity uktva maharsi-siddha-sanghah
stuvanti tvam stutibhih puskalabhih

Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura explained that fear and hesitation exist on the spiritual path:
"In proportion as the hesitant, reverential, serving disposition of the madhyam-bhagavata is gradually developed, by the practice of pure service, into one of -subserviency to the inhabitants of Vraja in their unconventional performances of the highest Loving-services of Sri Krishna, such hesitation and distance are supesceded by growing confidence and proximity to the Object of one's highest Love. Thereby the spiritual vision is perfected, in conformity with the natural capacity of an individual, and he is enabled to realize the full function of his specific spiritual self."

There are hundreds of examples and descriptions of this point in scriptures.

Conclusion:

Introduction

Spiritual, transcendental knowledge is not a paradigm that may be changed, but eternal Truth, sanatana-dharma. The word sanatana means eternal. It is not changeable upon whims of mind. Such speculations are popular in western magic tradition, but a jiva cannot just change paradigms and create new ones. That is ignorance. Such path is not a path of devotional service, but a path of endless speculation and impersonalism. False theories and conclusions like that Vaishnava aparadha is a myth are not in the line of Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura, Shrila Bhaktisidhantha Sarasvati Thakura and Shrila Prabhupada. Such theories are apa-sidhantha, useless new age speculations mixed with covered impersonalism and sahajism.

An attempt to attain pure love, by some personal experience without following the guru, parampara, sadhana, or conclusions of scriptures is modern mental manufactured concoction, not the path of mahajans. Such offensive path is cheap and without any authority. It is just unnecessary disturbance to society:

sruti-smriti-puranadi-
pancaratra-vidhim vina
aikantiki harer bhaktir
utpatayaiva kalpate
Bhakti Rasamrta Sindhu 1.2.101

"Devotional service of the Lord that ignores the authorized Vedic literatures like the Upanishads, Puranas and Narada-pancaratra is simply an unnecessary disturbance in society."

In this text we will present the basic misconceptions of such false theories.

1.Minimizing and neglecting the position of a spiritual master

The main misconception of such false approach is in minimizing and neglecting the position and role of a spiritual master in spiritual life. By considering the spiritual master to be a mundane person such persons are committing gravest offenses as confirmed in scriptures. Because of such spiritual suicide, all their knowledge, theories and speculations are simply worthless.

Bhagavad Gita 4.34 clearly states that the only way of understanding is via spiritual master, not by any personal speculation:

tad viddhi pranipatena pariprasnena sevaya
upadeksyanti te jnanam jnaninas tattva-darsinah

Just try to learn the truth by approaching a spiritual master. Surrender to him and inquire from him and render service at his lotus feet. The self-realized soul can impart knowledge unto you, for he has seen the truth.

In sake for some mental speculation and analytic knowledge such bewildered persons do not know that only via spiritual master unalloyed devotional service may be attained:

evam gurupasanayaika-bhaktya
vidya-kutharena sitena dhirah
vivrscya jivasayam apramattah
sampadya catmanam atha tyajastram
Shrimad Bhagavatam. 11.12.24

"With steady intelligence you should develop unalloyed devotional service by careful worship of the spiritual master, and with the sharp axe of transcendental knowledge you should cut off the subtle material covering of the soul. Upon realizing the Supreme Personality of Godhead, you should then give up the axe of analytic knowledge."

Instead of throwing up the axe of analytic knowledge and embracing pure devotional service, such persons are taking the axe trying to cut off the connection with the spiritual master and in that way committing spiritual suicide.

In order to understand the Supreme Lord, to approach to Him you must surrender to a pure devotee of the Lord.There is no other way. Without surrendering to the spiritual master and devotees there is no connection with God. "Just sit and feel God, love God, shine with God:..etc" will not do any good. All such terminology is just covered impersonalism and offensive cutting off the importance of the spiritual master and disciplic succesion.

maj janmanah phalam idam madhu-kaitabhare
mat prarthaniya mad anugraha esa eva
tvad bhrtya-bhrtya-paricaraka-bhrtya-bhrtya
bhrtyasya-bhrtyam iti mam smara lokanatha

"O Supreme Lord of all, slayer of the demons Madhu and Kaitabha! Please be merciful to me and grant my prayer that You may remember me as a servant of Your servant's servant, a servant of such a servant of Your servant's servant, a servant of a servant of Your servant's servant, and a servant of Your servant's servant servant."

All theories that are not supported by the authority of a sadhu, guru and shastras are apa-siddhantha, or wrong conclusions and paths that are different from devotional service. Pure Vaishnavas never support such deviations only for the sake of maintaining false humility and harmony.

2. Minimizing and neglecting the position of previous Acharyas and revealed scriptures

The second main misconception is in minimizing and neglecting the position and role of previous Acharyas and revealed scriptures. Not accepting the verdict of Shrimad Bhagavatam, Shri Chaitanya Bhagavata and other revealed scriptures as Absolute Truth, such persons consider shastras to be just tales and allegorical explanations. Under the influence of illusion they are speaking against clearly described points in revealed scriptures without any evidence or support in words of previous Acharyas or shastras.

"Caitanya Mahāprabhu also does not deviate from krishna-upadeśa, what to speak of others. And those rascals who are deviating from the instruction of Krishna, how he can become guru? They are interpreting in a different way, how they can become guru? That is not guru. We should simply remember this fact, whether this person is speaking the same thing as Krishna says, as Caitanya Mahāprabhu says, as Rāmānujācārya says...And we are following the same thing, so that is guru-paramparā, that is real knowledge. So don't approach a cheater, but actually approach a teacher, not a cheater. Then bhakti-yoga will be... That teacher is guru, and he is representative of Krishna. He does not say anything else." Chanting the Name Gauranga is a Direct Form of Worshiping Shrimati Radharani

Lord Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is not different from Shri Shri Radha and Krishna. That is the conclusion of Shri Chaitanya Charitamrita, Chaitanya Bhagavata and previous Acharyas.

Shrila Bhaktisiddhantha Sarasvati Thakura summarized that Truth in the following way:

shri krishna chaitanya radha krishna nahe anya

Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu is the combined Form of Shrimati Radharani and Lord Krishna, Shyamasundara, so while chanting Gauranga, a jiva worships also Gaurangi, or Shrimati Radharani. Uninformed persons think that by chanting Gauranga, a sadhaka is neglecting Shrimati Radharani, but the truth is quite opposite, by chanting Gauranga a sadhaka worships Gaurangi in Her loving embrace with Lord Shyamasundara in the Form of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu.

Radha and Krishna in this combined form are extremely merciful, therefore Gauranga tattva is even more merciful than Radha tattva. Such mercy is given specifically to the conditioned and offensive souls. We should note carefully that perfect souls like Shrila Haridasa Thakura received the same mercy from both the Tattvas, but for us conditioned souls mercy is more available in the form of Lord Gauranga, His Name, Form.

Radha Naam is also included in Gaura Naam and Harinaam. We are usually saying Krishna Naam, but the fact is that Hare Krishna is combination of Radha and Krishna Naam.
Hare is the Name of Radha. Similarly just like Krishna Naam is not fully accessible to offensive souls, Radha Naam is also not fully approachable to offensive conditioned souls. Both and Radha and Krishna Naam consider offenses in chanting, while combined in Gaura Naam there are no such considerations.

Gaura Naam is the greatest mystery, that may be realized only via process of bhakti. Pure devotees of the Lord realize that chanting the Name Gauranga presents the highest form of worshiping Shrimati Radharani, in Her loving embrace with prince of Vraja, Shyamasundara.

Verse 25:

daya ke sagara nitai gaura nama ishvara,
karmi jnani bahirmukha uddhara tatpara.

"The Nityananda and Gauranga Name Incarnations of God are causelessly and extremely merciful oceans, Who are always extremely anxious to deliver the sense-gratifiers, inquisitive people and all those who are in gross ignorance about the Supreme Lord Gauranga-Krishna."

The vast majority of today's world's population are in gross ignorance. Bewildered by sense enjoyment they do not search for root cause of existence, nor have any knowledge about the spiritual world and the Supreme Lord. Material decease in this Age is very severe, and the only cure for such dangerous condition is chanting the Names of Nityananda and Gauranga:

aibe kali ghora haila roga haila bhari;
kathina ausadha vina nivarite nari.

Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu states, "Due to the advent of the most horrible Kali-yuga, the material disease has become chronic and very hard to cure. In such a case only the most powerful medicine will help the patient."

The process of chanting Nitaai and Gaura Naam presents the most potent spiritual practice of all times. It is highest manifestation of direct devotional service to the Lord, because it enables the sadhaka with all necessary qualifications to approach and worship Shri Shri Radhika and Krishna without offenses, or in other words to chant the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra without any hindrances.

Nityananda and Gauranga are compared with an unlimited ocean of mercy. That causeless mercy is manifested in the fact that They are not different from Their Names, so if a person just chants the Names of Nityananda and Gauranga, instantly pure love will be awaken. That is confirmed by Shrila Narottama dasa Thakura in the following way:

je gaurangera nama loy, tara hoy premodoy,
tare mui jai bolihari.

"One who chants the name of 'Gauranga' instantly awakens his or her dormant pure love for the Lord. I (Narottama) worship such a person and surrender to him."

In this world, the association of devotees is very rare. Most of the population is in categories of karmis, fruitive workers or jnjanis, speculative philosophers. Almost everyone is interested only in sense enjoyment and sinful activities. Because of such fallen condition of the souls in this age, the medicine must be extremely potent and powerful. That cure is given in the form of chanting Nityananda, Gauranga and Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.

It is the greatest misfortune of this Age that persons are completely unaware of what the goal of life is. Shri Krishnadasa Kaviraja Goswami said that Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu is the only shelter for persons of this world:

agaty-eka-gatim natva
hinarthadhika-sadhakam
sri-caitanyam likhamy asy
madhuryaisvarya-sikaram
Shri Chaitanya Charitamrta Madhya 21.1.

"Offering my obeisance unto Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, let me describe a particle of His opulence and sweetness. He is most valuable for a fallen conditioned soul bereft of spiritual knowledge, and He is the only shelter for those who do not know the real goal of life."

The word eka means the one, only. Gati is the goal, destination. Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is the only hope, only shelter for all fallen jivas. There is no other way of spiritual advancement but to take shelter of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu. Only bhakti, devotional service that is based on exclusive worship of Lord Nityananda, Lord Gauranga and Shri Shri Radha Krishna may bring a jiva to highest and permanent perfection. All other isms, paths, philosophies and practices, are just temporary methods meant for elevation toward path of bhakti.

The persons of this Age, Kali Yuga are unfortunate in so many ways. Life of persons is very short, they are always disturbed and not interested in spiritual life, devotional service.

The human form of life is meant for only one purpose and that is spiritual realization. But the bewildered persons of this world forgot the goal of life and are desperately searching for false objects of satisfaction and love. They are very eager to satisfy senses, mind demands, material necessities, but all such goals are temporary attainment, because we are not this body. Every person will be forced to leave whatever possession he or she may have - house, spouse, children, bank account, country, and body itself at the time of death. But, persons do not think about that. "Let me enjoy now, who cares" is the main policy that leads to degradation to lower species of life.

From the spiritual point of view,even if somebody is interested in spiritual life, in this age there are so many false theories and speculations that a person is very easily misdirected. That is the nature of this Age. This is confirmed in Shrimad Bhagavatam 1.1.10:

Prayenalpayusah sabhya
kalav asmin yuge janah
mandah sumanda -matayo
manda bhagya hy upadrutah

"O learned one, in this iron age of Kali men have but short lives. They are quarrelsome, lazy, misguided, unlucky and, above all, always disturbed."

That is the position of the conditioned souls in this Age. It is the verdict of Shrimad Bhagavatam. No positive thinking practice, or visualization technique can change this fact. This material world is not a nice place to be, nor should we make efforts to stay in this prison. Sometimes, a prisoner gets a better cell, with nicer bed and bathroom. "Oh, I am enjoying now, he thinks..." but the real fact is that he is suffering. Similar, when a person is under the law of action and reaction and is given some enjoyment, immediately the bewildered person is making plans for a permanent stay in this material world.

Therefore, Shrila Krishnadasa Kaviraja Goswami is pointing - :There is only one solution, only one goal for such fallen and bewildered persons who do not even know what they are searching for!" And that is - Gauranga Mahaprabhu! The Holy Name of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu is the only hope, only shelter for fallen jivas. Agati-ekam-gatim. Persons of this age are agati, they don't know almost anything! They are proud of their speculative knowledge and material advancement. When they are successful in increasing ways of material enjoyment or exploitations of nature they are happy! They do not know the real goal, are just wandering around, from one bodily form to another, here and there.

Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura also confirms in Navadvipa Dhama Mahatmya that for fallen jivas of this Age, the only hope is Lord Gauranga:

ara eka gudha katha suna sarva jana;
kalijive yogya vastu gaura-lila-dhana

""Please hear a most confidential secret. The most suitable thing for the conditioned souls in Kali-yuga in the treasure of Gauranga-lila."

The only hope, only hope for the conditioned soul is Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu. Therefore, a really intelligent person is embracing His Name, Form, Pastimes, Dham, Associates and dear devotees, because they are ekam-gatim, the only shelter for all of us.

In the following song Shrila Narahari Chakravarti Thakura explained the greatest secret of all times - chanting Gauranga. He is singing:

"My Lord Nitai purifies all the worlds. How is He always overcome with the ecstasy of spiritual love? I do not know."

Lord Nityananda is always full of spiritual ecstasy. If we also want to become happy we must have a connection with Him. In the first verse Shrila Narahari Chakravarti Thakura is asking a rhetoric question - "How is He always overcome with the ecstasy of spiritual love? I do not know ", but in next verse he gave us a direct explanation:

matta-gaja yena calaye dhuli

"Raising His arms, He chants, "Gaura! Gaura!" Like an intoxicated elephant, He sways to and fro."

In a direct way Shrila Narahari Chakravarti Thakura explained that Lord Nityananda chanted the Holy Names of Gauranga and danced in great ecstasy like a drunken elephant. Then he described the beauty of Lord Nitaai:

"On His neck glistens a jasmine garland, a garland that playfully rests on His chest."

In the next verse Shrila Narahari Chakravarti Thakura explained the symptoms of chanting Gauranga Naam:

talamala jala jaruna ankhi
se cahani caru karuna makhi

"Tears stream from His eyes. His glance is filled with mercy."

By chanting Gauranga Gauranga, Lord Nityananda cried in ecstasy. That is the most beautiful scene that a sadhaka may desire to see.

In such hidden way, Shrila Narahari Chakravarti Thakura directly explained the greatest secret of all times - chanting Gauranga was given directly by Lord Nityananda Prabhu, the original spiritual teacher of all.

7. He does not consider who is poor, or fallen, or troubled. Who is not like that? To every person He gives the gift of ecstatic spiritual love.

8. Alas! Narahari dasa did not worship Lord Nitaai. That is why Narahari dasa is now plunged in materialistic life.

If you want to see Lord Shri Gauranga Krishna, you must try to find Him by hearing from pure devotees. We may see Krishna only by hearing. That is the process. The process of listening.

A pure devotee carries Lord Gauranga Krishna in his heart and is always meditating on the divine pastimes of the Supreme Lord. The words of such exalted top most rasika devotee are melting the stone- like heart of offensive jivas and pure attachment for listening ambrosial glories of Shri Shri Radha Krishna arise within the heart. There is nothing more important but to listen from such a devotee.

That is our link with Krishna. This is a movement of listening. We are listening to Holy Names and we are listening to words of our spiritual master and previous Acharyas. Only in that way a person may see.

The real association with the spiritual master is in listening. If you develop taste, greed to listen from his lotus lips, you will attain all perfection.

"Shri Krshna, the Personality of Godhead, who is the Paramatma [Supersoul] in everyone's heart and the benefactor of the truthful devotee, cleanses desire for material enjoyment from the heart of the devotee who has developed the urge to hear His messages, which are in themselves virtuous when properly heard and chanted."

In this age almost anyone is fabricating his or her own version of Truth. But if a person really wants to know the Truth as it is, it is possible only by hearing. Submissive hearing. Then, the nectar of pure words will enter into the heart, and without any effort pure attachment for spiritual topics arises. "Let me listen more, let me listen more..." We need such greed because it will lead us directly to Krishna.

There is progressive theology within the disciplic succession so that the consciousness of persons may be uplift to highest realizations. It is not that all things are revealed at once. Just as a child must learn A,B, C, letters and the whole alphabet and then go to the primary school, secondary school and later university, similarly progressive theology is present in Vaishnavism. That is not the flow of divine lila. Some secrecy is there just to add flavor.

Just see the divine flow of Gauranga-lila. It is so wonderful. So sweet. We are living at time of the most glorious disciplic succession. Can you imagine our good fortune? This revealing of Nitaai and Gaura Naam and worldwide distribution in Nitaai Gaura Harinama Sankirtana is an integral part of this divine flow, of the glorious disciplic succession.

After Lord Gauranga finished His manifested pastimes, most merciful Lord Nityananda Balarama ordered Mayadevi to lift the curtain of illusion and reveal the glories of the Lord. Before that, in order to perform His pastimes according to the eternal flow of rasa, as many things and topics about Lord Gauranga were kept in secret.

Therefore, Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is known as a hidden incarnation. Everything about Him is hidden. Secret. The only key to unlock that secret treasure box is bhakti, devotion. No other way.
Lord Nityananda is the greatest Savior of all fallen souls. He ordered Mayadevi to reveal all glories of Lord Gauranga. Then everything was displayed in writings and commentaries of great devotees and Acharyas like Shrila Vrindavana dasa Thakura, Shrila Krishnadasa Kaviraja Goswami, Shrila Locana dasa Thakura, and later in books of Shrila Bhaktivinodta Thakura, Shrila Bhaktisidhantha Sarasvati Thakura and A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. In that way the Gauranga-lila was revealed to this world. It is most unique, most glorious.

And then, the most secret thing, most glorious, unique spiritual understanding was revealed and began to change the direction of the whole Sankirtana Movement. The glories of Nitaai and Gaura Naam became known and glories of Nitaai and Gaura Naam started to become world-widely accepted. That is an unique, most glorious contribution of our eternal spiritual master Shrila Bhaktiratna Sadhu Swami Gaurangapada. Most glorious, most unique. In future, thousands of devotees will come to Puri Dham and perform Nitaai Gaura Harinama Sankirtana. Puri dhama will become the most visited Holy Place on earth because of constant chanting of the Holy Names of Nityananda and Gauranga.

Devotees who have a pure and simple heart will easily understand the glories of Nitaai and Gaura Naam and accept it as highest devotional siddhantha and take active participation in distribution. Also many books will be written where hidden meanings, verses about Nityananda and Gauranga Naam will be elaborately described. The glories of Nitaai and Gaura Naam are eternal and pure sidhantha will be established as firm fact in Vaishnava society.
That is flow of divine will. This Nitaai Gaura Harinama Sankirtana is non-different from Lord Nityananda. It is greatest sankirtana party ever meant for distribution of pure love. It is so unique. We should be so happy, so grateful just to be here, to take participation.
Even at times of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu His Name was hidden to the world. There was no worldwide distribution or preaching about His Name Gauranga. Only rare devotees knew about Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. But Lord Nityananda broke the secrecy so that prema may flow in all directions, everywhere.

A devotee who takes full shelter in Nitaai and Gaura Naam, full shelter in devotional literature of previous Acharyas may realize that flow of bhakti that leads toward Nitaai and Gaura Naam and pure worshiping of Shri Shri Radha Krishna in Vrindavana.

"The loving affairs of Sri Radha and Krishna are transcendental manifestations of the Lord's internal pleasure-giving potency. Although Radha and Krishna are one in Their identity, They separated Themselves eternally. Now these two transcendental identities have again united, in the form of Sri Krishna Caitanya. I bow down to Him, who has manifested Himself with the sentiment and complexion of Srimati Radharani although He is Krishna Himself."

The hidden avatara has hidden Names. Everything related to Lord Gauranga leads to Radha and Krishna, His Form, devotees, Pastimes, so the same is with His Name Gauranga. It is non-different from Shri Shri Radhika and Shyamasundara. No difference.

To consider Gaurahari, Lord Gauranga to be any different from Shri Shri Radhika and Krishna is an offense. Basic misunderstanding. His Name, is pure transcendental non-different from Them. All scriptures are pointing in that direction - Radha and Krishna, Radha and Krishna....

Now they came if form of Shri Chaitanya Maharabhu, Gauranga. In a loving embrace. By filling your lips and heart with the transcendental sound of Gauranga you are worshiping Shri Shri Radha and Krishna on a most intimate way. That is a secret. Many persons are trying to worship Radharani and Krishna, but if they would know this secret they would worship Them in the most intimate combined Form of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu.

Lord Nityananda is prema sagara, the ocean of pure love for Lord Gauranga Krishna. A fortunate devotee who drinks the nectar of His Holy Name is bathing in the endless ocean of transcendental mellows.

The Holy Name of Nityananda is the most glorious sound vibration, non-different from the Supreme Lord Himself. It is purely transcendental, full of highest bliss. Those fortunate souls who somehow or other come in contact with a devotee of Nitaai, may finally end this never-ending story of repeated birth and death. More than that, they will surely attain Lord Krishna, as confirmed by Shrila Madhavendra Puri in Chaitanya-bhagavata, Adi-khanda 9.385:

"If one simply hears the name 'Nityananda', he will most certainly attain the lotus feet of Lord Krishnacandra irrespective of any other consideration."

Lord Nityananda is known as Dayala Nityananda, the most merciful. Even Ananta Sesa with millions and billions heads can not find beginning nor end of the transcendental glories of Lord Nityananda Prabhu. Fallen souls do not have any other solution. We are actually only capable to fall down and pray for the mercy of Lord Nityananda and chant His Name in eagerness, in burning desire to be accepted.

In spiritual life everything around us is the manifestation of Lord Nityananda. We are taking shelter of the spiritual master who is a representative of Lord Nityananda, we are serving devotees who are servants of Lord Nityananda. All success in spiritual life is directly connected with Lord Nityananda and our surrendering to Him. As much as we are conscious of His lotus feet, in that degree we will advance in spiritual life, toward Lord Gauranga and Shri Shri Radha and Krishna.

Therefore, let us dive deep into that ocean of pure love, prema-sagara by chanting Nityananda, by listening about Nityananda, by serving devotees of Lord Nityananda, by honoring prasadam of Lord Nityananda, by meditating on His divine lotus feet and divine pastimes and by speaking and preaching about most glorious Lord Nityananda and His Name. Jay Nityananda Balarama! Jaya Nitai Nama! Nityananda! Nityananda! Nityananda!

Here is the top most secret of attaining pure love and service to Shri Shri Radha and Krishna. The Highest secret. If a person understands that secret it will advance to the level of pure love for Shri Shri Radhika and Krishna.

If a person accepts Nitaai Naam, the result is pure, pure chanting and pure love for Lord Gauranga. That is the highest secret. Almost nobody knows that. It is so confidential. Nitaai Naam is so confidential. Nitaai Naam is the gateway to pure love in all rasas.

Without Nitaai Naama it is hard to approach Radha and Krishna because Lord Gauranga is not fully satisfied if anyone neglects Lord Nityananda or His Name. That is the secret. We can see that in the example of Minaketana Ramadasa. It is described in Shri Chaitanya Charitamrta. In fact there is no difference between Krishna and Balarama, Gaurahari and Nityananda, no difference. If a person neglects or minimizes one brother and emphasizes another it will not grand the desired success.
But if a person glorifies the other brother, the first one becomes pleased so much. That is the secret. If you want to please Lord Gauranga chant Nityananda, if you want to please Lord Nityananda chant Gauranga. If you want to attain Radha and Krishna, chant both Nityananda and Gauranga, then chant Hare Krishna. That is top most secret. Only with the mercy of Nityananda and Gauranga we may approach Shri Shri Radhika and Krishna.

yatha yatha gaura padaravinde vindeta bhaktim krta punya-rasih
tatha tathotsarpati hrdy akasmat radha padambhoja sudhambhurasih

"As much as you surrender to the lotus feet of Sri Gauranga, you'll find yourself safely situated in the service of Radha-Govinda. Don't try to approach Radha-Govinda directly; if you do, there may be some difficulty. But the lotus feet of Sri Gauranga will take you there safely."

That is the only path. And to fully worship Lord Gauranga, to get His mercy we are surrendering first to Lord Nityananda, to His Name. Uninformed persons minimize Nitaai Naam by foolishly saying that worshiping Nityananda and chanting His Name is for sakhya bhava devotees. It is not true. Nitaai Naama is a cintamani gem that may give any rasa. Any rasa is there in Nitaai Naama.

heno nitai bine bhai, radha-krishna paite nai,
dridha kori' dharo nitair pay

"No one can approach Radha-Krishna without Lord Nityananda. If one wants to enter into the service of Radha-Krishna, he must take shelter at the lotus feet of Nityananda."

The glories of Nitaai Naama are unlimited! Who can understand such glories! Simply by chanting Nityananda, Nityananda a fortunate jiva gets on the direct way to the highest plane - pure love for Shrimati Radharani and Lord Krishna, Shyamasundara.

shraddhavana jo gaura bhakta sanga kare,
nama me ruci jiva pe daya bhakti patha dhare.

"That true and faithful devotee who associates with the most magnanimous devotees of Their Lordships Nityananda and Gauranga develops spiritual taste in the chanting of the Holy Names of Nityananda and Gauranga. Thus great compassion is awakened in his or her heart for the fallen conditioned souls which impels him or her to profusely distribute the very Holy Names which he or she is chanting and in this way bring many souls to the path of pure devotional service or bhakti-yoga and rescue them from the cycle of birth and death."

The most important quality in spiritual life is faith or sradha. The word shraddhavan means "one who is full of faith", or one who has complete faith. Complete faith means that there is not even a pinch of doubt in the conclusion that Nitaai and Gaura Naam are not different from Lord Nityananda and Lord Gauranga and that chanting of those Names are prescribed spiritual practice for attaining pure chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra.

Such faith is very rare, even among advanced devotees who may have knowledge about Radha-Krishna Tattva. Such faith may be attained only due to the association with the most glorious devotees of Nityananda and Gauranga who always chant, sing, speak, discuss about Lord Nityananda and Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu. Association of such devotees is highest perfection and true manifestation of Vaishnava mercy :

vancha-kalpa-tarubhyas ca krpa-sindhubhya eva ca
patitanam pavanebhyo vaisnavebhyo namo namah

"I offer my respectful obeisances unto all the Vaishnava devotees of the Lord. They are just like desire trees who can fulfill the desires of everyone, and they are full of compassion for the fallen conditioned souls."

By serving and hearing from such rare souls, a devotee rapidly advances on the path of devotional service and develops spiritual taste in the chanting of the Holy Names of Nityananda and Gauranga. Chanting Nityananda and Gauranga Naam becomes sweeter than honey and spontaneous meditation and remembrance of the Lord's Form, Qualities, Pastimes Associates is manifesting even while performing mundane tasks necessary for the maintenance of body, or family.

In that way, the most merciful Nitaai and Gaura Naam is melting the heart. Compassion, genuine humility and tolerance are manifesting within the hearth of a devotee. That original compassion is a great impetus for devotees to distribute the Holy Names of Nityananda and Gauranga in any possible way for the ultimate benefit of all fallen souls of this Age.

By placing itself in the service of the spiritual master and chanting Nitaai and Gaura Naam, a disciple is becoming an instrument for distribution of the Holy Names of Nityananda and Gauranga and in that way may bring many souls to the path of pure devotional service.

Lord Gauranga is mahavadanyaya avatara, the most merciful of all Forms of the Lord, but Gaura Naam is maha-mahavadanaya, supremely merciful, far more merciful then even Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Himself. Even Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu is astonished to see the effects of His Own Name!

When He was present on this planet, fortunate souls had the opportunity to personally Associate with Him and to attain highest destination. But, Gaura Naam is far more merciful! In any part of the world, in any time, any place even a small child can chant Gauranga Gauranga and immediately the Lord will come. Lord Gauranga is there immediately. " Oh, he is chanting my Name, I must embrace him."

The offensive soul cannot directly approach or attain audience or service to Shri Shri Radha and Krishna in Vrindavana. That is simply not possible.
In any possible way, if a jiva tries to approach solely by worshiping Radha and Krishna, chanting Hare Krishna, reading about the pastimes, still it is not possible to attain highest destination - pure love for Shri Shri Radha and Krishna. That is because, however we may try we will commit numerous offenses. It is confirmed in Shri Chaitanya Charitamrita 8.29-30:

hena krishna-nama yadi laya bahu-bara
tabu yadi prema nahe, nahe asrudhara
tabe jani, aparadha tahate pracura
krishna-nama-bija tahe na kare ankura

"Even though one may chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra many many times yet his love for the Supreme Lord Krishna will not develop and tears will not appear in his eyes because of the mountains of the ten offenses is his or her heart and the seed of the Mahamantra does not sprout even after repeated chanting."

In the conditioned, limited stage we are not on the absolute platform, and our only link with that highest realm is manifested before us in the Form of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu. He came to give us that unique love, love for Radhika and Krishna, and only through Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu we may get the possibility to approach to that transcendental affairs and pastimes. He is so merciful that there are no considerations. We are the most fallen, and Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is the most merciful. What does the word "most merciful" mean? That means no consideration, no limit. That is the highest possibility for fallen souls. Gaura-lila is the most merciful lila of the Lord.

But, if a offensive soul takes Gaura-Naam, automatically it will come to the stage of love of God and attain Vrindavana. It is described in Shri Chaitanya Charitamrita Adi 8.31:

chaitanya-nityanande nahi esaba vicara,
nama laite prema dena, vahe asrudhara

"But if one chants, with only some slight faith, the two holy names of Lord Gauranga and Nityananda, very quickly he or she is quickly cleansed of all offenses. Since in the chanting of the names of Nityananda and Gauranga there is no consideration of offenses, one will very quickly come to the stage of love of God, simply by chanting Their names and tears of pure love for Krishna will flow from the eyes."

That is the secret of all, of all times. If you want Radha and Krishna, take Gaura Naam. To properly take Gaura Naam take Nitaai Naam, Nityananda. That is the process carefully hidden in all Vedic scriptures.

This Nitaai-Gaura Harinama Sankirtana is a part of Gaura-lila. The worldwide distribution of Gaura Naam is part of Gaura-lila because Gaura Naam is non-different from Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu. Future generations will read scriptures and words of Nitaai Gaura Naam devotees and Acharyas, read Nitaai Veda just as we are reading Shrimad Bhagavatam or commentaries of great Acharyas. We must consider ourselves so happy and privileged to be here, in this time, to take participation in this Nitaai Gaura Harinama Sankirtana mission.

There is only one goal for all of us in this life. Only one goal, one direction. It is the greatest desire of previous Acharyas like Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura. What is that goal?

To make the Names of Nityananda and Gauranga worldwide known, accepted and chanted by persons of this world. That is our task. Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura said that there is an urgent need to spread the Names of Lord Nityananda and Gauranga all over the world. We should always push towards that direction.

This goal is the life and soul of devotees, of the sankirtana movement. When the Names of Nityananda and Gauranga become worldwide known everything will be manifested, Nitaai-Gaura Katha, Deity worship, everything. That should always be our prayer and meditation.

Please take part in this kirtana dance of Lord Nityananda and Lord Gauranga. Whatever service or activity you may offer, however it may look small or insignificant to you, it is of greatest importance. Greatest importance! Even the smallest effort to preach and distribute Nitaai Gaura Naam cannot be compared with thousands Vedic sacrifices, or pious activities or visiting holy places. This activity is the highest spiritual activity because it gives direct and highest pleasure to Supreme Lord Shri Gauranga Krishna. It is part of His Gaura-lila. When a fortunate jiva chants "Gauranga" he is worshiping Shri Shri Radha and Krishna combined. The offensive jiva has no other way to approach Shri Shri Radha and Krishna. It is not possible. Only with the mercy of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu, His Name it can be done. Lord Gauranga is the only link, only connection with that realm.

If you can take some participation in this Nitaai Gaura Harinama Sankirtana you will be thrown into pure love, into Goloka Vrindavana by the mercy of the spiritual master and our previous Acharyas. The entire Gaura-lila is based on mercy. Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu is so merciful that he gave us the highest opportunity - simply by chanting His Name we may attain highest perfection. So, we do not need to worry about our destination anymore. Our destinies are in the hands of Shri Guru and Shri Gauranga Mahaprabhu. Whenever they want we will go. We may have desire to go directly to Goloka, to serve in eternal pastimes, but ultimately it is upon the spiritual master and Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu.

While we are here we should act in such direction to fulfill their most intense desire. If we, even partially succeed in that task, they, our Masters will become automatically satisfied and we may attain all good fortune and attainment of our inner desires.

The more we try to enjoy the more we suffer....

The more we try to enjoy the more we suffer.
When we endeavor to enjoy through our senses by hearing, seeing, touching, tasting etc...
the more that we lose control of those senses and the harder it is to bring our mind under control. What happens when our mind becomes agitated by these material desires? We become anxious and experience distress as a result.

All of the societies of the world in this atrocious age of Kali fall into this trap. Everyone wants to enjoy more and more in today's world and all the "civilizations" are centered around this enjoyment principle and the result is that people suffer more and more miseries. People come under the control of the base modes of nature, passion and ignorance, and are just like animals. Only when one is able to free himself from the clutches of passion and ignorance and the clutches of those who are under the control of passion and ignorance can one come to sattva guna or the mode of goodness and experience liberation from material distress.

In this state of sattva guna one is free of the base modes of nature and doesn't endeavor to strongly enjoy his senses and is therefore happy.

Here is the cycle:

Desire to strongly enjoy >>>>>>>>>> Engagement in sense gratification >>>>>>>>> Senses and mind become agitated and much much harder to control >>>>>>>>> One further becomes angry and engages in more and more sinful sense gratification (killing of and eating of cows, gross illicit behavior, etc. etc.) >>>>>>>>> Constant anxiety and misery and shortened life span >>>>>>>>> Death.... and a trip to Yamaraja's abode >>>>>>>> Hellish life for some time then birth in sub human species where the miseries are very pronounced.

This simple cycle all starts with the desire to strongly enjoy and this illicit desire to enjoy is why the western world is 100% pure rubbish hell and misery.

Hello,

I think it would be very nice if we could download the audio only from Guruji's videos. I want to be able to hear them all day on my ipod. Blip.tv used to allow this feature but to my dismay it seems that this is no longer the case. Does anyone know of any other way or any other site where these videos are posted where this can be accomplished?

Also when I go to media page from the link above the video player automatically plays and just freezes up and stutters as if there is too much content on the page. I have a very fast connection and plenty of memory so I was wondering if there was a way we could view that page without all the video players automatically starting up and such?

What is the unique and special characteristic of chanting Nityananda and Gauranga Naam? What is so special, so extraordinary in Those Names?

The most spectacular, most magnanimous quality is that if a person simply chants the Names of Nityananda and Gauranga, pure love for Krishna, pure Krishna-prema will search after that person. That is described in Navadvipa Dhama Mahatmya:

nitai-caitanya bali yei jiva dake;
suvimala krsna-prema anvesaye thake.

"If one feelingly and loudly calls out the names of Nityananda and Gauranga, the purest Krsna-prema (pure love of Krsna) comes searching after such a person."

This is the highest manifestation of Lord's mercy. In chanting Harinaam the process is going onward, up. A sadhaka is advancing and reaching krishna-prema. But in chanting Nitaai and Gaura Naam, the process goes downwards, down, Krishna prema personally comes and searchs for a devotee who cries out "Nityananda", "Gauranga".

That is the most amazing thing ever! That is the highest manifestation of Lord Nityananda's and Lord Gauranga's mercy. Nothing can be compared with such extraordinary mercy. That is a special characteristic of Nitaai and Gaura Naam.

They are so merciful, that Krishna prema enters the heart of a devotee even offenses may be present in the heart! That is highest mercy of all times!
Just see how merciful Nitaai and Gaura Naam are:

aparadha badha tara kichu nahi kare;
nirmala krsna-preme tara ankhi jhare.

"The offenses (which may be present) don't create any obstacles in path of achieving this love and tears start flowing from his eyes in pure ecstatic love."

Aparadhas may be present in a heart, but krishna prema will melt even a stone-like heart if a devotee simply continues to chant. Ancient ice, hard rock is almost unbreakable. Our heart is like that stone. It becomes hardened in this material world. So, Krishna prema is melting the ice and transform in liquid nectar that is manifesting as genuine tears of devotion. When a devotee cries for Lord sincerely it is to be understood that his stone cold heart is melting under the power of krishna prema.

The darkness cannot be present at the same place where light is. Ice can not be at the place of a blazing fire. When prema enters the heart, all offenses flee fromit and pure attachment and love is manifesting in a sublime form.

svalpa kale aparadha apani palaya;
hrdaya sodhita haya prema bade taya.

"In a very short, the offenses themselves flee and the heart becomes completely purified and thus the love further increases."

We are so blessed just to hear this most confidential truth. It is so confidential, so rare. It is the sum and substance of all Vedic knowledge and realization. All spiritual books are pointing to these three verses. You can search and read, talk to all sadhus, swamis in all universes, highest mercy is given in those verses. Simply by chanting Nitaai and Gaura Naam pure prema enters the heart and all perfection is available. That is the ultimate mercy.

Therefore, let us fill our heart with the transcendental sound of the Holy Names - Nityananda, Gauranga and Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

bhakti unmukhi jo sukriti pradhana,
sadhu sanga me kare gaura nama pana.

"Those fortunate souls who have awakened their natural spontaneous love for Lord Gauranga-Krishna due to their countless pious deeds in their previous lives, savor and drink the nectarian beverage of the Holy Names of Nityananda and Gauranga in the association of faithful devotees of Their Lordships Nityananda Gauranga."

After almost unlimited lives in material world, the fortunate jiva accumulates enough sukrti, or pious activities to came in a contact with the representative of Supreme Lord Gauranga Krishna. Such soul is indeed the most fortunate of all conditioned souls, because it is on the path toward the eternal spiritual world.

Those rare souls who get the possibility to hear about Lord Nityananda and Lord Gauranga are extremely fortunate, beyond any consideration. Among such rare souls, like transcendental gems are most precious, transcendental rasika devotees, who have awakened their natural spontaneous love for Lord Gauranga-Krishna. To have association of such exalted, souls is almost impossible, and if a person somehow or other gets in the association of such devotees it must be considered that this soul gets highest blessings and mercy.

What are the activities of such souls? How to recognize such a devotee? The answer is given in this verse - kare gaura nama pana. The word kare means to do, to perform and pana means to drink. So, such most exalted personalities drink the nectar of the Holy Name of Lord Gauranga! They are chanting and dancing, crying the Name Gauranga following the desire of Lord Nityananda!

bhaja gauranga kaha gauranga
laha gauranga namo re
ye jana gauranga bhaje
sei amara prana re

Worship Gauranga, chant the Name Gauranga, speak about Gauranga day and night. Whoever serves Gauranga is as dear to me as my very own life.

That is the primary symptom of the top most devotee who can deliver the whole world simply by his presence and chanting Nityananda, Gauranga and Hare Krishna.
